Chapter 3020

Rosella only yelled that one sentence before quickly winding the window back up and telling the driver to continue driving.“That old kid really is like a kid,” Rosella muttered.Camryn giggled. “As long as Nana’s happy.”

“Oh, she’s very happy every day. She always says that life is short, and this trip to earth is only worth it if we live life happilyevery day.”

Rosella was deeply appreciative of her mother-in-law’s attitude towards life.

Her decision to marry into the York family was due to a combination of factors—the strength of her and her husband’s feelings foreach other, her in-laws’ characters, as well as the family’s culture that gave her zero reservations about joining the family.

Time had proven that she had not married the wrong person.

It had been a few decades since she married and she had not suffered a single grievance since. Her in-laws treated theirdaughters-in-law better than they even treated their sons.

They did not even have to worry about their children’s care because her in-laws would personally see to their upbringing.Zachary’s generation, apart from the youngest, Rowan, was all brought up by Grandma May and her husband.

That was because Rowan was too young. When the Old Mr. York passed away, Rowan was still a babe.

With eight older cousins and brothers watching over him though, Rowan would not stray too far from the beaten path.

Camryn said, “Nana’s right. Life’s full of trials and tribulations, ups and downs. It’s only by facing the storm with a smile that youcan greet the rainbow that comes after.”

Rosella turned to look at her daughter-in-law for a moment and then reached out to pat Camryn’s cheek with a smile as she said,“No wonder Nana likes you.”

They were both strong people who greeted the storms thrown their way with smiles.

The banquet that night was being held in the host’s manor.novelbin

The three York madams and Camryn saw many cars slowly driving into the manor grounds when they arrived at the gates. The host had arranged for quite a few people to manage the traffic and show the guests where they could park.

When the butler spotted the York madams’ cars, he hurried into the main building.

Soon, a middle-aged woman led her family out to greet them.

“Good evening, Tania.”

The middle-aged woman walked up to them and took Tania’s hand before greeting Rosella and Sasha too with a hug.

It was obvious that she was very familiar with the three Mrs. Yorks.

“Ginny, let me introduce you to someone,” Rosella said to the middle-aged woman with a smile.

Ginny's attention had been focused entirely on the York madams and had not noticed Camryn standing quietly beside Rosella.

It was only when Rosella tookCamryn’s hand that Ginny noticedher. These rich madams had more or less heard about the sort of life Camryn had lived in the past.Camryn survived terrible adversities, so she definitely had great blessings in store for her.

Marrying into the York family was that very great blessing because she would have her in-laws to dote on her for life.
