Chapter 2793

Hayden said, “Shameless. I still care about my reputation.”

Kevin chuckled. “I am shameless indeed. If I cared about my reputation, I wouldn’t have been able to

win my wife over. I learned this from Zachary. In fact, he has never pursued his wife, but he always said

you need a thick skin. My big bro used to be very concerned about his image. After getting together

with Serenity, he gradually stopped caring.”

During the initial period of their marriage, the both of them had a lot of fights, and often gave each other

the cold shoulder.

Kevin knew about it but did not dare to pry.

Sometimes, when they gave each other the cold shoulder, even Grandma May had to step in.

Hayden could not help but burst into laughter. “When Mr. Zachary hears that you call him shameless,

you might be in trouble.”

According to her knowledge, the young masters of the York family had a special respect for the eldest

in their generation, Zachary. They were also afraid of him.

Zachary maintained a cold and arrogant demeanor in front of outsiders. However, with Serenity, he

seemed to transform into a different person.

With such a brother, even if he was just a cousin and due to the lack of family divisions in the York

family, living together in Wildridge Manor since childhood had created deep familial bonds. Zachary, as

the eldest, held ample authority, commanding respect, and awe from his cousins.

“Zachary is not here. Besides, I’m just telling the truth. He became more shameless after getting Seren.

We are just following his footsteps.”

Hayden chuckled. “If you are shameless, just be shameless yourself. Don’t blame others. Alright, we’renovelbin

getting ready to go out. Kev, let me ask you a question. If I wear an evening gown but don’t wear high

heels to attend the banquet, will people laugh at me?

“Would you mind if I am laughed at?”

Kevin looked down at the pair of high heels left on the floor and smiled. “Why would I mind? When

have I ever been afraid of what others think? I always do what I want. If I cared about others’ opinions,

we wouldn’t be so lovey-dovey today.

“If I cared about how others see me, I wouldn’t have openly pursued you in the first place.”

Kevin considered pursuing Hayden as a display of homosexuality in the eyes of the public in Jensburg.

“Hay, if you’re not comfortable in high heels, don’t wear them. Shoes belong on your feet, and you

know best if they’re comfortable or not. If the shoes don’t feel right, just change them. There’s no need

to force yourself to wear something that doesn’t suit you.”

With that, Kevin fetched Hayden’s usual leather shoes and placed them at her feet, smiling. “Put on

these leather shoes. You’re used to them, and comfort matters. Let others laugh if they want. As long

as we’re comfortable, who cares about what they think?”

Kevin then touched Hayden’s evening gown. “I know you’re not used to wearing women’s clothes.

Though I really love seeing you in them, you look like a celestial being descended to earth, that noble

and glamorous appearance mesmerizes me.

“But if you feel uncomfortable or not used to it, you don’t have to wear women’s clothes. Whether

others know you’re a woman or not doesn’t matter. I know that, and that’s enough. Let others think I’m

gay even though I’m not. Who cares what they say?

“Change back to the suit and attend the event as Mr. Hayden Queen. Your comfort comes first.”

After a long look at him, Hayden said, “Kevin, I love you, truly.”

Kevin smiled broadly. “I love you more! I’m crazy about you.”

Hayden's feelings for him might not match his intensity.

Nonetheless, Keivn was genuinely happy that she expressed her love for him.

“I love you, and I don’t want people to label you as gay. Tonight, I’ve decided to wear an evening gown.

As for the high heels, I really can’t get used to them. I practiced walking in them all afternoon, but I

couldn’t walk gracefully like a lady. I nearly drove my mom crazy.

“I don’t want to force myself anymore. I’ve decided not to wear high heels. I don’t care what others say

about me, I only care about your opinion. Since you don’t mind, I’ll just do what’s comfortable for me.”

Hayden discarded the wig and the heels, and put on her usual dress shoes.

Sophia had chosen an evening gown with a long hem for her.

Her tall figure made the gown look even longer, accentuating her height while conveniently concealing

her shoes. If she wore high heels, the heels would have been visible.
