Chapter 2783

Everyone laughed.

Kevin had arranged for the food to be served upon Duncan and Liberty’s arrival.

It was a pleasant meal.

After that, Hayden left first as she had to go to Jensburg Hotel for her meeting with Mr. Williams.

Luckily, the two hotels were nearby. They were just diagonally opposite each other.

However, Kevin insisted on escorting Hayden over.

Meanwhile, Liberty pushed Duncan out of the hotel. They took a stroll on the nearby streets while

admiring Jensburg’s night attractions and scenes.

“Are you feeling better?” Duncan asked Liberty.

After a brief silence, she said, “I’ve calmed down. The things that I’ll experience will only be worse in

the future. If I can’t even face this, I don’t have to stay here any longer. I should just return to Wiltspoon

and manage my restaurants.”

If she did so, she would be failing Audrey’s expectations of her.

“It’s great that you can overcome this. We’ve been strolling for some time. Has anything caught your

eye?”

Duncan turned his head and asked, “What do you want? We can go and get it. It’ll be my present to

you.”

Liberty smiled. “I can buy it myself. You don’t have to give it to me.”

“I’m your boyfriend now and the man you’ll spend the rest of your life with. We don’t have to have such

clear boundaries between us. I haven’t really given you any gifts. Even if I did, you didn’t accept them.

Actually, I have a guest room back at home. It’s filled with all sorts of presents that women like.

“They’re all presents that I prepared for you. Some of them were the ones you rejected, while the rest

are new gifts I haven’t given you. I know you won’t want them, so I left them there. When we become a

family, those things will naturally become yours.

“If you don’t use them, you’ll be wasting our little family’s money. I’m sure you don’t want that to

happen, right?”

Liberty was speechless.

In the past, she had rejected Duncan because she had no thoughts of getting married again. She just

wanted to earn money, expand her career, and raise Sonny. Therefore, she had never accepted

Duncan’s gifts; not even bouquets, let alone luxury items.

It turned out that he still had many expensive presents he had not given to her yet, knowing that she

would not want them.

“Even if we do become a family in the future, how much jewelry can I possibly wear? How much

skincare, makeup, or clothes can I use? How many bags can I hold?”

“You can change one every hour.”

“Won’t that take time?”novelbin

Liberty laughed. “I’m not a model who changes their outfits in the blink of an eye.”

Duncan laughed with her. “I’ll buy fewer clothes, but I can get more jewelry. You can leave the ones you

wore before aside. When Sonny gets married, we can give the jewelry to our daughter-in-law. They can

even be passed down to our granddaughters.

“You’re already thinking about being a grandfather when you’re not even a father yet.”

Duncan blushed. He chuckled. “I’m filled with confidence whenever I think of the future that awaits us.

I’m motivated to go to rehab to recover as soon as possible and marry you. I’ll give you a grand

wedding like Zachary and Serenity’s, Liberty. You’ll have everything Serenity has and also anything she

doesn’t.”
