Chapter 2752

Caroline turned her gaze away from Hunter and followed Belinda to a small lounge. She placed the

lunch box on the table and opened it. She told her mother, “I even brought you some fruits.”

Belinda sat and stared at the sandwiches and cut fruits Caroline had brought. After some time, she

said, “You’re the only one who’ll actually prepare sandwiches for me.”

Her sons and Celine would not have followed her request because they opined that those foods were

not worthy of her.

“Have the sandwiches while they’re fresh, Mom.”

Back when Caroline was still with her abusive adoptive family, she could not even have sandwiches.

A sandwich was a luxury for when she was young.

Having experienced a tough childhood, Caroline never wasted money once she was an adult and

earning money herself. She maintained a low profile and spent money wisely.

Her personality, which was shaped by her environment, did not change with her increasing savings.

Belinda ate the sandwiches while recalling a scene from decades ago. She and her sister’s family were

having breakfast together in the morning.

Even after plotting her sisters’ murder and becoming the matriarch, she was not happy.

“Mom, about Dad…” Caroline asked softly.

Hunter did not seem like he was beaten up. Did Mom stab him?

After he was sent to the hospital last night, Mom forbade them from asking about his condition.

Caroline did as told. Mom would not let Dad die anyway.

Knowing Mom, she would torture Dad slowly instead of letting him die right away, which would have

been an easy way out for him.

“He won’t die.”

Belinda said indifferently, “He’s just castrated. As long as he doesn’t get infections, he can be

discharged after the wound heals. His daily life won’t be affected much, but he’ll only be able to look at

pretty girls in the future.”

Caroline was speechless.

“Caroline.”

She looked toward her mother.novelbin

“I have four children, but you’re the only one bearing my last name. You’re probably the closest to me.

When you have a husband in the future, you must keep a close eye on him. Those who are willing to

be the Fisher family’s live-in son-in-law are doing it for our money. However, they have no rights to our

assets at all.

“They’ll be required to sign a prenup to ensure that our family’s assets won’t be taken away by

scumbags. If the man’s smart enough and found loopholes to get their hands on our money, make him

disappear from this world. Anyway, you have to remember that none of our assets can go to them.”

Caroline replied, “I understand, Mom.

“Only the matriarch has the authority to use the family’s assets. For those who have no inheritance

rights, only the assets that are accumulated by themselves belong to them.”

Caroline knew the rules. She understood them right after returning to the family.

“If I die one day, just inherit the position according to my will. As long as you don’t get blinded by love

and give any assets to your man, my granddaughter will be able to receive everything that I bequeath

to you.”

“Why are you talking about this, Mom? You’re still young.”

Belinda sighed. “My energy depletes by the day. I must admit that I’m old. I’m seventy. Back in the day,

to have lived until seventy was considered rare and a very old age. Who knows when I’ll die from them

angering me?

“I’ll arrange everything once your dad’s discharged, but you must remember not to be blinded by love.”

“If I were to have an illegitimate daughter, can she be recognized as a Fisher?”

Belinda was stunned. Then, she quickly asked, “You have an illegitimate daughter? When did it

happen?”

Caroline had only been back for two years. Belinda could not remember when her daughter had started

dating or gotten pregnant and birthed child.
