Chapter 2698

The two babies were a few months old and they could already roll over and have baby talks with the

adults.

Laurence said, “I often see Clo-clo. She recognizes me, so of course she smiles at me. You rarely play

with her, and since she doesn’t recognize you, she won’t smile at you. You can play with Connor. My

little sister is fine with me.”

From time to time, Connor’s little legs kicked Sonny’s hands placed on the stroller. This little one was

restless; he was either quiet when asleep or constantly moving, crying, and wanting adults to hold him.

Even handing him a toy to play with would only last for a couple of minutes before he threw it away and

started crying.

Chloe, as usual, did not like to cry. If the siblings lay together, Connor would keep crying, and Chloe’s

little feet would kick her brother, seemingly disdainful of him being a crybaby.

Sonny bent down to kiss Chloe, but Laurence blocked him.

“You can’t kiss Clo-clo. Uncle Ben said none of us can kiss her, but we must protect her. If you want to

kiss, then kiss Connor. Uncle Ben said the little brother can be kissed anytime.”

“Why?” Sonny asked in confusion.

Laurence authoritatively said, “Don’t ask so many questions.”

Listening to the conversation between the boys, Serenity glanced at Ben, who was sitting with Zachary

and discussing business.

Seeing this, Jane could not help but say helplessly, “Our daughter is only a few months old, and the

father is already on guard against all the guys from various families, afraid that they will take away his

precious.”

Serenity laughed. “He’s thinking too far ahead. She’s still so young.”

After a pause, she said, “But I guess Zack would do the same.

“Do you usually take care of them yourself? Have you gone back to work yet?”

Jane replied, “I haven’t fully returned to work yet. I would check in occasionally, but Ben only lets me go

back to work full-time after the children are six months old.

“They are growing up day by day, and they’ll soon turn clingy when they get old enough. In the past, it

was fine to leave them with their grandparents for a whole day. Now, it’s different. If they don’t see me

for a few hours, not to mention my son, even my daughter, who rarely cries, will start wailing. No one

can comfort her except for me. I have to come back and hold her to calm her down.”

“That’s true. Once they know how to walk, they cling to you. They become your little shadows wherever

you go. It gets slightly better when they start preschool. You can see it with my sister and Sonny.

Liberty is fortunate to have me share the childcare, and Sonny is willing to follow me.”

Jane looked at the kids. “Actually, it’s hard to part with them. After having children, whenever I go out, I

always worry about them crying or being hungry.”

“Aunt Ser, Aunt Ser.”

Sonny suddenly ran over and nestled into Serenity’s arms. He looked up and pleaded, “Aunt Ser, can

you give me a little sister? I don’t want a little brother anymore.”

He adored Chloe, but Chloe was Laurence’s sister and not his.novelbin

He did not have a little sister of his own.

The baby in Aunt Ser’s belly was a boy too..

Serenity said amusingly, “You mentioned that the baby in my belly is a boy.”

Sonny pouted.

He said it himself, could he take back what he said?
