Chapter 2629

“How many important matters do you still have to handle? Do you trust me? Do you want me to help

you with it?” Kevin asked.

Hayden said, “There’s no need for that. Is Madam Fisher back in Jensburg?”

“She’s on the way from Jensburg Airport. It’ll probably take over forty minutes for her taxi to arrive.”

Kevin checked the time and said, “You still have about half an hour to work. After that, we can go to the

hotel, and the timing will be just right.”

It would be dinner time by the time they arrived, and Madam Fisher would likely think that they

coincidentally witnessed the drama unfolding without suspecting any of it was orchestrated.novelbin

“Do you want to go watch the show?” Kevin asked once again.

Glaring at Kevin, Hayden replied, “You’ve already told me. How can I not go watch such an exciting

event? Of course, I want to see.”

Still glaring, she commented, “I wasn’t originally a person fond of drama. You’re a bad influence.”

Surprisingly, she agreed to go with him to witness the spectacle.

Kevin chuckled, “You’re just too serious. Life is short, a few decades at most. It should be easy-going

and joyful. If there’s a good show, watch it. Like Josh, he often just sits on the sidelines, carefree. His

mindset is excellent. Someone like him could easily live to be a hundred.

“Even when the sky is falling, he’ll just use it and cover himself like a blanket. You, on the other hand,

carry too much burden on your shoulders, Hayden. For your own sake, I think you should openly admit

you’re a woman. I believe once you clear that up, you’ll feel much lighter.”

Hayden retorted, “I’ve only said a word or two, and you’ve already dragged us into the profound

meaning of life. Sit aside and don’t disturb my work.”

Kevin laughed, “Okay, I’ll sit aside. You focus on your work.”

He then turned to look at the office door and asked, “Hay, will someone come in without knocking, or

like I just did, knock and enter without waiting for your response?”

“Aside from you and Hugh, no one else would do that.”

Hayden immersed herself back into her work and was trying to ignore Kevin the chatterbox.

Kevin sat on the sofa and, with nothing better to do, discreetly took pictures of Hayden working

diligently using his phone. He thought Hayden looked exceptionally handsome, no wonder so many

girls admired and went crazy for her.

If he were a woman, he would never be able to fall in love with other men after meeting Hayden.

The more Kevin recognized Hayden's excellence, the more he understood how much those elite ladies

in Jensburg despised him.

When he first approached Hayden, her admirers used to wait at the entrance of Queen Enterprise

every day, hoping to catch a glimpse of her or exchange a few words.

Hayden treated all her pursuers with the same cold, indifferent attitude.

None of them had any chance, yet they all believed they had some hope because Hayden did not show

favoritism to any of them; they were all on equal ground.

Until the appearance of Kevin disrupted the status quo.

Surprisingly, they had all lost to Kevin, a man.

Having a man as their romantic rival dealt a massive blow to them. At first, they had tried to compete

with Kevin.

Kevin would engage in verbal battles with Hayden’s many admirers.

Once Hayden started to warm up to Kevin where she began being gentle toward him, her die-hard

admirers completely gave up.

Turned out it was not that they were not good enough, it was just that Hayden was homosexual.

Hayden was interested in men. Therefore, no matter how excellent they were, they could not capture

Hayden’s heart.

They resented Kevin for shattering their perceptions toward Hayden, and for revealing Hayden’s true

colors. The “truth” about Hayden being homosexual left them heartbroken.
