“Camryn, please give me a little time, alright? I’ll call my mom right away.”
Callum planted a kiss on his fiancée’s cheek and immediately dialed Rosella’s number.
It took a while before the call got through.
“Mom, do you have a moment?”
Rosella responded, “Hmm, I just woke up. I’m quite free today, what’s up? Do you need Mom’s help?”
As her son grew up, there were very few things that required his parents’ assistance.

“I’m planning to go to the city hall with Camryn before noon to get our marriage license but I didn’t bring
the household register with me. Could you or Dad bring it over for me now? Or maybe have someone
deliver it to me? By the time I make the trips myself, it’ll be the afternoon, and I’d rather not wait that
long.”

plenty of time. I’ll send it over right away. Are you at the Newmans’ villa or the office?”
“I’m at the Newmans’ villa. I didn’t go to the office this morning.”
“Alright, I will send it over to you now. Do you need the engagement ring?”
Callum replied, “Yes, I do. You’re so thoughtful, Mom. I’ve already ordered the Eternal diamond ring. It’s
in the safe in my room, and I’ve changed the safe’s password to Camryn’s birthday.”
“Alright, we’ll chat later. I’ll get the diamond ring and the household registration permit. I’ll take them
directly to the city hall, and the both of you can wait for me outside.”
Rosella instructed Callum so because she thought that it would be less of a hassle for her to travel
straight to City Hall from home since it was closer than the Newmans’ Villa.
“Sounds good.”
Callum did not have any objections.
After ending the call with his mother, Callum turned to look at his beloved with loving eyes. He said with
a gentle tone, “Camryn, I had my mom bring the household registration permit, she will be heading
straight to the city hall. We’ll head over later and wait for my mom.”
There was even a diamond engagement ring.
Camryn nodded and replied, “I’ll follow your lead.”
Callum wrapped his arm around her waist and said softly, “Today, you follow my lead. After today, your
word is law in our little nest. Oh right, there’s one more favor I need from you.”
“What is it?”
Camryn, still in his embrace, looked up at him with curious eyes, wondering what tasks he would
entrust her with.
“Once we’re married, there should be someone in charge of our family, and I want it to be you. You’ll be
in charge and your decisions hold sway. I’ll leave the finances to you, and from then on, my income and
assets will be in your care. Feel free to spend however you like, you don’t have to worry about saving
on my behalf.”
Camryn replied, “...that’s sweet of you, but it’s a quite challenging task.
“Let’s talk about this in a few years, I have my hands full right now with Carrie filing a lawsuit to get a
share of my family’s property. Although I’m not too worried, it’ll still take some time to deal with her.
After all, she can be quite troublesome.”
Besides, it would take a few years after marriage to get used to everything.
Callum smiled and said, “Alright, I’ll only entrust the financial matters to you. You don’t have to worry
about managing the smaller companies that I own, just handle the money.”
