Chapter 2516

Sasha laughed heartily. She was cheery and less rigid as compared to Tania with no hard and fast rule

of appearing overly dignified all the time; that was the luxury of not being the head missus of the Yorks.

Tania had to be mature and composed. Though in private settings, Tania was just like Sasha. Most

importantly, both of them and Rosella got along well because their personalities were similar.

“Were you satisfied with Callum when you first saw him, Camryn?”

Camryn blushed. She smiled and said, “I touched his face countless times when I was blind and

imagined what he would look like, but I was still surprised when I saw him. He looks different from what

I envisioned by touch.

“So, of course I’m satisfied. Aunt Evelyn kept telling me to treat Callum well. She said he must’ve been

a blessing from my dad in heaven.

“Nowadays Callum gets treated better than me by her when I used to be her favorite.”

Despite complaining about Aunt Evelyn’s preferential treatment, Camryn was smiling and happy.

Aunt Evelyn was delighted with Callum. He could have opted for better girls, but he chose Camryn

without complaints. He also traveled countless times to FC Manor in Annenburg and suffered Tim’s

repeated disdain just to invite Dr. Carden over to treat Camryn’s eyes.

Aunt Evelyn felt Camryn must have been really blessed by the heavens to have met Callum as his

feelings for her were true.

Callum only approached Camryn because of his nana’s arrangements. He did not harbor any feelings

for Camryn initially and was just giving the relationship a try back then. As time passed, he gradually

developed feelings for her and fell in love.

Camryn’s praise for Callum made Sasha smile wider, feeling like it was her own son being

complimented.

Callum was slightly older than Kevin. Sasha had witnessed him growing up, and loved him and her son

equally.

The three of them entered the house.

It was quiet inside.

There was a chessboard on the coffee table by the sofa. Simon was on the couch, resting his chin on

his hand while holding a chess piece. He was in a dilemma about where to place it.novelbin

“Uncle Simon,” Callum called loudly.

“Uncle Simon.”

Camryn’s voice was softer.

Sasha said, “Camryn and Callum are here. Put the chess away. I’ll play with you again another day.”

Simon raised his head and looked toward Callum. He smiled. “Hello, Callum. Why have you brought so

many gifts again, Camryn? Don’t do this anymore. We’re family. There’s no need to be so courteous.

We’re content with you two back for a meal.”

“It’s not much, Uncle Simon.”

Camryn added gently, “I won’t buy anything next time.”

Simon said, “You say that every time, yet you do it again the next time. Come, sit. Get Camryn a drink,

Callum. Make yourselves at home and take whatever you need.”

After glancing at the chessboard, he added, “I don’t think I’ll have the appetite to eat if I don’t finish this

game.”
