Chapter 2484

Carrie was furious.

November was not as sunny as summer but remained rather warm in Wiltspoon for this time of the

year. Even during winter, one could get by with a long-sleeved shirt on a sunny day, not to mention that

it was barely winter now.

Carrie felt hot after standing under the sun for a long time.

Her face turned red, and there were beads of sweat on her forehead.

She kept cursing Camryn until her mouth went dry with nothing to quench her thirst.

Camryn had already entered the house, so no matter how loud Carrie yelled, Camryn might not be able

to hear her.

Carrie looked up and assessed the gate. With the gaps, she could still climb over if she was careful.

She decided to climb over the gate which she did immediately.

On the other hand, Camryn was in her room on the second floor. She stood by the windowsill, looking

at the gate.

Since she had not fully regained her eyesight, she could not see clearly from a distance. She asked the

man next to her, “Is Carrie gone?”

“No. She’s climbing over the gate.”

Camryn said, “Okay.”

She smiled and added, “I never imagined Carrie to do this one day. She used to lock the gates and

wouldn’t let anyone open the gate for me. She also asked me to find a way to get in by myself. Back

then, I also climbed over the gate.

“But Carrie asked the servants to scatter glass shards on the ground. I couldn’t see then, so even if I

managed to fumble my way in, my palms would get cut by the glass shards when I landed on the

ground and they would get stuck in my flesh.

“I couldn’t pick them out myself with my broken eyesight. The servants only listened to Carrie and

Paige, so no one helped me either. I endured the pain all night and asked a stranger for help the next

day.novelbin

“Even after extracting the glass shards, my palms still hurt. I didn’t have money to go to the hospital

either. But the Good Samaritan was kind enough to get me disinfectant and medicine after seeing my

injuries.

“I was seventeen years old at that time, and Carrie was only eleven. She has taken pleasure in

torturing me since she was a child. When I first became blind, I couldn’t adapt to the darkness. I

suffered a lot at their hands.”

After finding out that Paige had contributed to her infertility, Camryn stopped acknowledging Paige as

her mother.

Hearing this, Callum immediately called the new butler of the Newman villa whom he had hired.

When the new butler answered the phone, Callum ordered in a low voice, “Let out the four German

shepherds and put them in the front yard.”

Callum was vexed that Carrie used to bully his beloved Camryn.

The butler immediately asked the dogs’ caretakers to let them out to play in the front yard.

The dogs were chained during the day and released at night. Usually, two would be in the front yard

and the other two would be in the backyard to guard the large villa.

The dogs recognized the staff in the Newman villa, so they would not attack. However, they did not

recognize Carrie.

Now that Carrie was climbing the front gate, the four working dogs identified her as a thief.

As soon as the dogs were let out into the front yard, they ran toward her with no warning barks. When

Carrie turned around to gauge her distance from the ground and got ready to jump, she saw four

ferocious dogs below. They stared at her fiercely, waiting to pounce on her and bite her the moment

she jumped down.

Carrie was so frightened that she almost fell from the gate.
