Liberty paused for a moment and said, “Caroline is in a very difficult situation now. If we go back, it’ll be
even more difficult for her.”
Caroline was Belinda’s daughter. If she had been trained as a successor since she was a child, she

name.”
Liberty’s face turned red. She chided Serenity. “What are you talking about? I may not take over the
Fisher family. I think Caroline is good enough. She’s learning about the duties of a matriarch. Although
her mother killed our grandmother, her mother is the current matriarch and has trained her. So I think
Caroline still has an advantage over us.
“Duncan is a very capable man with his own company, so he won’t agree to changing his last name.”

Sonny.

Serenity did not persuade Liberty after hearing this. She said, “Yeah, let nature take its course. No
matter what you decide, I will always support you. I just want you to be happy.”
Serenity was only in favor of Liberty marrying Duncan if it would make Liberty happy. If her sister was
unhappy, then Serenity would not support it.
A marriage would only last if both parties were happy to be together.
