Elisa said, “Then go ahead and laugh! If your stomach doesn’t hurt from laughing, you should laugh
more. I really don’t mind since I’m quite thick-skinned.”
Alice hugged her belly and laughed, but then she soon frowned and said, “Now it hurts. The pain is

Hearing this, Audrey immediately instructed her daughter, “Bring Alice to the hospital now!”
Most women would experience contractions for at least a day or two before giving birth for the first
time. Some women would even have to endure the pain for three days. However, some women only
had contractions for a few hours before delivery.

Thus, the Stones rushed Alice to the hospital.
On the way to the hospital, Alice called Clive. When he answered the phone, she said, “Clive, my

If you have time, please meet us at the hospital.”
“You’re going into labor?! I thought we still had two weeks before the due date. Why are you giving birth
now?

When Clive heard that his wife was about to give birth, he put aside his work, stood up, and walked
around the desk to leave. However, he went in the wrong direction and walked into the lounge instead.

Soon, Clive walked out, still talking on the phone. He did not grab anything else.
The senior manager quickly realized that his boss was so nervous that he had gone to the wrong place.
He thought, ‘Will Mr. Stone make it to the hospital safely in his current condition? Will he go to the
wrong hospital?’
“Central Hospital, right? Okay, I’ll be there right away. Don’t panic, Ally. I’m right here for you, even if
the sky falls.”
Alice said, “I’m not nervous. But I know you are, Clive. Please stay calm. The baby and I will be fine.
The baby is in a normal fetal position, so the delivery should be smooth. The baby might even be out
by the time you get to the hospital!
“Drive slowly, okay? Actually, you shouldn’t drive. Get the driver to send you over.”
Alice knew her husband well.
If Clive were to drive to the hospital now, he might get into an accident because he would be speeding

Alice hung up because the pain was getting more intense and unbearable.
