Chapter 2409

Sonny said smugly, “I knew chili was useful. You’re not dozing off anymore.”novelbin

Serenity patted Sonny’s head and told him, “You can go out to play and check if Zachary is here.”

“Okay,” Sonny agreed happily before exiting the room and going downstairs.

Everyone on the floor below was busy. Duncan was the only one sitting because he could not be of

help.

He would have joined Zachary’s groomsmen entourage to fetch Serenity from the villa if he were

mobile.

Although he could not yet walk, he wished to help Liberty, and so he came to Liberty’s villa and would

follow the rest to Wildridge Manor after Zachary arrived.

When Duncan saw Sonny running down, he suddenly thought of something he could do.

He called Sonny and the little guy hopped to Duncan and greeted sweetly, “Dunc.”

“Why did you come down? Didn’t your mom tell you to accompany Serenity upstairs?”

“Aunt Ser told me to come out and play. I also have to check if Uncle Zak’s here.”

Duncan looked at the time and said, “He should be arriving soon. He said he was on the way earlier.”

Sonny replied, “Oh, I’ll go outside and have a look.”

He ran out right after speaking and Duncan could not even stop him.

“That boy has gotten faster at running.”

Duncan watched Sonny run outside with a loving gaze.

He pushed his wheelchair and waited for Sonny at the door.

An employee from the Lewis family saw Duncan, so he followed and asked, “Do you want to go down

the stairs, Mr. Duncan?”

After thinking about it, Duncan said, “Sure.”

The employee pushed Duncan along a ramp. Since the ramp was pretty steep, he could not control the

wheelchair’s speed and would easily topple over. Hence, he rarely attempted to use it himself.

“Okay. I can move the wheelchair myself. You can go on working.”

The employee released the wheelchair and resumed what he was doing earlier.

Duncan spotted Sonny looking around at the villa’s entrance and approached him.

Along the way, employees who saw him would ask if he required help.

“No need. Please don’t mind me and go on with your work.”

Duncan rejected everyone’s offer politely.

Sonny was standing at the gates and was looking into the distance along the tarmac road.

He knew what Uncle Zak’s car looked like and could recognize Uncle Zak’s car if it arrived.

“Can you spot Zachary’s bridal convoy yet?”
