Chapter 2389

Quinn brought Julian to her house.

It was not far from Power Fitness, and she met many acquaintances along the way. They saw Quinn

walking beside a handsome man who was holding lots of stuff. They naturally assumed that Julian was

Quinn’s boyfriend.

“Is this your boyfriend, Ms. Crawford? He’s handsome.”

“Is he your boyfriend, Quinn? To think your parents were worried you couldn’t get married. I told them

not to worry because there’s no way you can’t get married with your looks.”

“Your parents will be happy that you’re bringing a man home. They won’t have to worry anymore.”

The parents of Quinn’s students or her neighbors would greet her and ask about her and Julian’s

relationship.

Quinn quickly explained to one of her neighbors, “This is Mr. Bucham. He’s here to learn martial arts

from my dad.”novelbin

Mrs. Patterson said, “Oh, I thought he was your boyfriend.”

After glancing at Julian, she pulled Quinn aside and whispered, “I recognize all of your father’s

students, Quinn, but this man has the best looks. He seems to have a powerful aura too. You shouldn’t

let this opportunity slide.”

Mrs. Patterson kept winking at Quinn, who was speechless.

Quinn said, “You’re overthinking, Mrs. Patterson.”

“I know you two aren’t officially dating yet, but it’ll surely happen soon. If you meet a good man, hold on

to him and don’t let anyone else take him. I don’t have a daughter, and we practically watched you

grow up. I’ll be supporting you, so don’t miss this chance.”

Quinn smiled. “Okay. I’ll seize this opportunity, Mrs. Patterson. But first, let me take Mr. Bucham to my

dad.”

“Go ahead.”

Quinn returned to Julian’s side and continued guiding him to her place.

As they walked, she told him, “That lady has been our neighbor for as long as I can remember. She has

watched me since I was a child. Whenever I got beaten by my dad for slacking off during training, even

my mom couldn’t save me. I could only escape more punishment when my neighbors stepped in.

“They’re very nice to me. Please don’t be weirded out, Mr. Bucham. They just got excited seeing me

with a man and thought you were my boyfriend.”

Julian was understanding. “No worries. I faced the same situation before. If I stare at a girl for over a

few seconds, my parents will think I fancy her and try to play matchmaker. It’s funny but embarrassing.”

Quinn turned and asked him, “How old are you, Mr. Bucham?”

“I’m thirty-five this year.”

Quinn said, “No wonder your parents would react that way. My parents would be anxious if I were

thirty-five and still single. Since I’m still in my early twenties, they’ll just remind me to date if I find

someone I like.”

“Is it because you have very high standards?”

“I’ve been too busy and don’t have time to date anyone.”

Julian dared not mention his illness. Quinn was the only person who could cure him.

He would come clean about his illness if she had feelings for him but felt insecure about their

compatibility.
