Chapter 2304

Jacob returned the greeting. He looked at Kevin, then Hayden. There was pity in his gaze when he

looked at the latter.

Hayden was the most outstanding young talent he had ever seen. He would have wanted to set his

daughter up with Hayden if he had one of similar age to Hayden.

Jacob never thought Hayden was unlucky enough to be targeted by Kevin, someone so thick-skinned

at that. Hayden had clearly expressed that he did not like men, yet Kevin kept bothering him.

One after another, Kevin’s love rivals gave up as they could not compete with Kevin. They were not as

shameless as him, and Hayden did not give them any chances either. Though these women hated

Kevin, they could do nothing about it.

“Yes. I’m waiting for Mr. Queen to get off work. We’re having dinner together.”

Kevin understood why Jacob looked at him one kind, but he could not care less about how others

perceived him; everyone thought he was gay.

However, they had no idea that Hayden had deceived them.

“Hay, I’ll wait in the VIP room next door and not disturb your discussion with Mr. Rowling,” Kevin said

before leaving.

Hayden guided Jacob to the sofa, the same place where Kevin had sat before. The bag containing the

dress and high heels that Kevin had worn was also there. Jacob noticed the items in the bag after

sitting down.

Swiftly, Hayden picked up the bag and placed it under the coffee table.

“I understand the nature of the situation between you and Mr. York is personal, Mr. Queen, but I feel

compelled to share my thoughts. I think you’re overly forgiving with Mr. York. If you’re not interested in

men, then you should firmly reject him and not spare him any chances.”

Mr. Rowling spoke out of turn.

Hayden offered a wry smile and responded, "You haven't experienced Mr. York's persistence firsthand.

I've attempted to turn him down, but it proves to be futile."novelbin

She had rejected him firmly at first when she had no idea that she was the granddaughter-in-law whom

Grandma May had chosen for Kevin.

After learning about it, she gave up on rejecting him. Kevin was too hard to deal with. Hayden had

never met a man as difficult as him.

In addition, her parents adored Kevin. They were delighted that their daughter was Grandma May’s

chosen partner for Kevin.

Her parents and Hugh were all on Kevin’s side, wishing for her to marry him. She felt pressure from

both sides. How could she possibly be Kevin’s opponent?

Even though Hayden kept mum, she knew she had feelings for Kevin after spending a considerable

amount of time with him. Otherwise, she would not have worn ladies’ clothes to grant Kevin’s wish.

Even her parents had not seen her wearing women’s clothes since she was a grownup.

It was evident that she fancied Kevin from her willingness to change into a dress for him.

Jacob suggested, “If you wish to free yourself from him and have him give up, the best way would be to

get a girlfriend, date her, and eventually get married. That way, Mr. York will give up.

“You have plenty of admirers, but you’ve never given them a chance. That was probably why Mr. York

assumed you didn’t like women and kept pestering you.”

After a moment of silence, Hayden smiled and said, “Let’s talk business, Mr. Rowling.”

Kevin was pursuing Hayden openly and the entire Jensburg was aware of this. Hayden’s women

admirers would gradually give up since they were not Kevin’s opponents. This way, they would be

spared from sadness and troubles when Hayden’s identity as a woman was revealed.
