Chapter 2254

Quinn was unaware of it. She did not even know that she had already fallen into Julian’s trap.

On the way back to the hotel, the straightforward and eloquent Quinn had a pleasant conversation with

Julian. It felt as if they had known each other for years instead of this being their first meeting.

Julian had grown to like his fated partner more.

As expected of his woman, Quinn was not only skilled in fighting but she was also outspoken and had a

frank personality. A woman like her was suitable for him.

“Since you’re a CEO, Mr. Bucham, did you have a chance to work with Mr. York? I’ve heard of Mr. Yorknovelbin

and his wife’s love story even though I was in Summervale.”

Summervale was a small city that paled in comparison to Wiltspoon.

It was a distance away from Wiltspoon too.

Julian was not surprised that Quinn mentioned Zachary and Serenity.

From his investigation, Quinn had a hobby of reading novels aside from coaching and exercising. His

sister-in-law, Jasmine, shared the same hobby too.

Jasmine would read all the books in her bookstore. After she finished reading them, she would restock

with new arrivals to ensure she always had books to read daily.

Quinn was only twenty-four years old and she liked reading novels. Zachary and Serenity’s love story

was more exciting than fiction. When the news of Zachary getting married broke, it garnered a lot of

media coverage. With the internet, it was normal for Quinn, who lived in the faraway Summervale, to

learn about it and be interested.

Julian smiled and said, “You asked the right person. I’ve worked with Mr. York countless times. We’re

friends in private and have shared meals together.

“You must’ve read about Zachary and his wife’s story from the internet. It’s not much different from

what happened in reality. The media and news reports didn’t exaggerate anything. By the way, Mrs.

York is also skilled in martial arts. I think it’s great for women to be trained in self-defense.”

If Julian were to have a daughter, he would teach her martial arts from a young age. It could strengthen

her body and be used to protect herself.

Quinn complimented him, “Your company must be capable if you were able to work with Mr. York many

times, Mr. Bucham.”

Julian said humbly, “It’s so-so. My company isn’t well-known in Wiltspoon.”

Julian decided to keep a low profile about his company.

It truly could not be compared to the larger corporations, but it had deep pockets.

Besides, he had more than one company under his name.

Julian’s net worth was comparable to that of Zachary’s.

“You seem to like Wiltspoon a lot, Ms. Crawford.”

“Wiltspoon’s great. I do like it here,” Quinn said honestly.

Though she liked Summervale more, she did not speak her thoughts.

“Have you ever considered working in Wiltspoon?”

“No. I never came to Wiltspoon prior to bringing the kids over for a competition this time. It’s a long

distance, and traveling back and forth is inconvenient. Besides, I don’t have other skill sets besides

martial arts. It won’t be easy for me to get a job in this big city.

“I’ll be able to work in security, as a bodyguard at most. If so, I might as well continue staying in

Summervale as a martial arts coach. Many people in Summervale know self-defense. The gym’s doing

pretty well.”

Julian smiled and said, “Since you rescued me tonight, Ms. Crawford, you’re my benefactor. I don’t

know how I can ever repay you for this. If you intend to work in Wiltspoon in the future, just let me

know. I can arrange a job for you.

“Based on your incredible skills, I believe you’ll be sought-after if you wish to be a bodyguard. Many

CEOs will want to hire you as their personal bodyguard.”
