Chapter 2229

“I haven’t met Dr. Carden. I happened to be on a business trip when she came. Callum had just

brought me back. We’re at his house and about to meet Dr. Carden soon.”

Trenton was still worried about her and this made Camryn happy.

“No matter the result, don’t give up. If Dr. Carden can’t do anything, we can look for a better doctor,”

Trenton reassured her.

Everyone knew that Camryn would not be able to regain her sight if even Dr. Carden could not treat her

eyes.

Dr. Carden was the miracle healer’s disciple and he was legendary because his skills were

undoubtedly the best.

After a moment of silence, Camryn consoled her brother in return, “I won’t be sad, Trenton. I can

accept any result. I’ve gotten used to living in darkness after so many years. It’s just a pity that Callum

has to marry me, a blind person, despite being such an outstanding person himself.”

“Camryn.”

Callum said, “I don’t feel aggrieved at all. Since the day I fell in love with you, I’ve decided to marry you

and spend the rest of my life with you regardless of whether your eyes can be treated. It’s great if you

can regain your sight. However, if it doesn’t work, I’ll be your eyes.”

Trenton spoke through the phone, “Camryn, I believe Callum’s a responsible person. Don’t overthink.

We know what the York family’s people are like. You should believe in yourself and Callum.”

Camryn was touched. She bit her lip to stop herself from crying. After a short silence, she said, “I know.

Are you doing well in school, Trenton? Do you have enough money? Does the cafeteria’s food suit your

tastes? If it doesn’t, you can eat outside of school. Let me know if you run out of money.”

“I have money. Don’t you deposit money into my account regularly? I have some money of my own too.

It’s enough. I even got a part-time job, but it wasn’t because I lacked money. I simply wanted to

experience life and accumulate some work experience.

“The food at the cafeteria tastes pretty good. There’s a huge variety. You don’t have to worry about me.

You can rest assured and go get your eyes treated.”

Trenton was sent to a boarding school by his parents when he was still in elementary school. He lived

and had all his meals in school, so he was not picky.

“That’s good.”

“You should hurry up and meet Dr. Carden. I’m going to eat now.

“I hope you’ll be able to see me when I return to Wiltspoon during winter break.”novelbin

Camryn smiled. “I will.”

The siblings ended their call. Camryn returned the phone to Callum. She said, “Why did Trenton call

you instead of me?”

Callum said, “He must’ve called me because he probably thought you were receiving treatment. He

didn’t save my contact when he left Wiltspoon. It seems like he had put in the effort to obtain my

number.”

“Actually, Trenton still cares about you, Camryn. Although he couldn’t accept the reality for some time

and refused to meet you, he never resented or despised you. He knows that his parents were in the

wrong. He simply couldn’t accept it because he loved his family.”

Camryn hummed in agreement. “I know.”

She was content that her brother had called to show his concern, encourage her, and reassure her

before she went to treat her eyes. Their relationship was successfully mended.

“Let’s head inside.”

Callum assisted Camryn to walk to his house.

A few minutes later.

“Dr. Carden,” Callum greeted first.

When the rest followed inside and heard that the young lady was Dr. Carden, they were surprised but

quickly greeted her afterward.

As Lilian had just given birth not long ago, everyone imagined she was an older woman who had gotten

pregnant late in her life. They did not expect her to be this young.
