Chapter 2117

Serenity pondered for a moment and felt that her sister made sense.

She was currently very busy with her own business, assisting Zachary with his personal matters, and

also taking on some small tasks from her mother-in-law. She was learning how to juggle them.

Serenity needed to work hard to become a competent lady of the house.

The main issue was that she grew up in an ordinary family. Serenity would not need to work so hard,

and she would have even less pressure if the Hunts and the Yorks were a perfect match.

Serenity could not have anticipated that her aunt had the plan to push her sister into the head position

of the Fisher family.

The Wildridge Manor was a boisterous place. The Queen family far away in Jensburg, although not as

lively, was relatively more bustling today compared to its usual quietness.

Under their parents’ request, Hayden and Hugh had returned for the weekend.

Hugh came back earlier and had gone to Jensburg Hotel with Kevin to pick up Hayden.

The four o’clock afternoon sun was not as scorching as it was during noon as it had cooled down

slightly. However, the weather was hot, and even if the sunlight was not as intense as at noon, no one

would want to leave the air-conditioned rooms.

Hayden wanted to sleep through the entire afternoon.

The annoying Kevin would not let her sleep for that long. It was only three o’clock in the afternoon

when he started knocking on her door.

Hayden ignored him.

Every ten minutes or so, he would knock on the door again.

If not that, he would call her, insisting on waking her up.

This went on back and forth for an hour. Hayden’s drowsiness had completely disappeared, replaced

by a belly full of anger.

Hayden ended her afternoon nap. She opened the door with her tensed handsome face, seeing Kevin

standing at her doorstep while holding a bouquet of flowers. The flowers were not wrapped, and it was

evident that he had picked them from her family’s yard.

As he saw her open the door, Kevin broke into a big smile.

Hayden, on the other hand, wanted to kick him off the stairs.

Kevin did not sleep a second last night, and neither did he let Hayden sleep.novelbin

It was clear that both of them missed out on a lot of sleep the previous night. Hayden felt drowsy as

heck, but Kevin seemed energetic as usual.

“Kevin York, don’t you understand basic manners? You are now visiting my property. You are the guest

and I’m the host. You’re being an awfully disgraceful guest by always knocking on my door and

affecting my naps. Don’t you know that it is very rude of you to act this way?”

Hayden reprimanded the boastful man.

There was nothing she could do about him.

He wondered how his parents raised him to be such a shameless person.

Kevin said with a smile, “I’m the guest and you’re the host. The guest is already up and ready to go,

how can you still have the audacity to sleep in? As a host, don’t you have to entertain your guests?

While it is true that I have been a disgraceful guest, you’re no better than me. ”

Hayden was at a loss of words.

The next moment, Kevin stuffed the bouquet of flowers into her arms.

She instinctively held the bouquet in her embrace.

“There’s only but a few flowers blooming in your backyard, so I cut them all and collected them as a

bouquet. Please make do with it.”

Hayden’s face turned gloomy. “Those flowers were my mother’s favorites. She planted them with her

own hands, and you cut them all?”

“Oh, are they? She was the one who let me cut them. She gave me the green light once I told her that

those flowers are meant for you.”

Hayden was speechless.
