Chapter 2098

Chelsea’s two elder children were in their growing stages. They were big eaters and had not eaten a

big meal in a long time.

Chelsea and George needed to let the children eat if they brought them to a restaurant, which required

money.

Chelsea reminisced, saying, “We’re reaping what we sowed, hubby. When Liberty and Hank were still

married, we enjoyed good food without needing to spend money. Hank would provide our parents with

an allowance while our parents would support us with their money.

“I like eating expensive food like beef and seafood. Liberty would buy them whenever I mentioned it to

her, and I could eat as much as I wanted. She’s completely ignoring me now and even refuses to give

me a job.”

George wanted to say something but decided against it.

He missed the old days too.

George and Chelsea only had to focus on working while his in-laws cared for the children. His in-laws’

pension and the allowance provided by his brother-in-law would go to their family. Therefore, George

and Chelsea could save all the money they earned from working. It felt great.

However, things changed, and they had to pay for everything themselves.

George’s brother-in-law had been lying in the hospital bed for a long time. The expenses were high and

were all paid for with his in-laws’ pension.

He only found out that his in-laws still had money after his brother-in-law was hospitalized. It had not

been completely spent on his family.

Unfortunately, the money was used up due to Hank’s hospitalization.

Nevertheless, George felt better upon considering the fact that he did not need to pay for his brother-in-

law’s hospital fees.

Additionally, despite being the son-in-law, the responsibility of caring for his elderly in-laws would not

fall on his shoulders as his brother-in-law was around.

His wife also liked to mooch off her parents. She only cared about her own little family.

Hence, George did not need to worry about his in-laws demanding him to be responsible for their

elderly care.

It was proven that birds of a feather did flock together.

“Chelsea, Chelsea.”

“What?”

“Look at that old couple. Are they Hank’s in-laws?”

Chelsea’s gaze followed the direction her husband pointed. She saw an old couple walking and

stopping sometimes. They were wandering around as if looking for someone. However, they seemed

worried about being recognized by other people.

“Looks like it.

“They never come here. It can’t be them,” Chelsea said.

Jessica’s parents were furious after Jessica stole her household register to get married to Hank, which

caused them only to be able to receive tens of thousands of dollars as a bridal gift. Therefore, they

rarely visited the city or the Brown family.

Although Jessica had not been having a good time with the Browns, she rarely complained to her

parents.

However, after she had stabbed Hank, the Yates family found out that she had not been doing well in

her in-laws’ house.

Mrs. Yates was sad and angry. She scolded her daughter for not listening to them and not getting more

than a hundred thousand dollars for their bridal gift. She said that was why Jessica was bullied and notnovelbin

appreciated by her in-laws.

If the Brown family had spent sixty thousand dollars to get Jessica to marry into their family, how would

they have dared to mistreat her like that?

They would have been afraid of losing their daughter-in-law along with the money.
