Chapter 2090

Only Lucas, who was still young and spoiled by the family, did not understand the situation. He was the

youngest and used to bully Sonny all the time, often taking his belongings.

However, since visiting his uncle’s house and not seeing Sonny there, Lucas no longer had anyone to

bully or take things from.

After a long time without seeing each other, when they finally met, Lucas’s mischievous nature started

to emerge again. He found Sonny’s clothes quite cool and wanted them for himself.

“The kids are used to calling you Aunt Liberty now,” Chelsea said as she took the bag of apples from

Liberty’s hands. “You’ve come all this way, and you even brought gifts. You’re too courteous.”

She glanced at the bag and saw only apples.

Considering that apples were now several bucks per pound, this bag would only cost tens of bucks.

Chelsea felt that Liberty was somewhat stingy compared to her previous visit, but she still appreciated

the gesture.

Since this meant they had something to eat for lunch.

Liberty nodded and greeted Mr. and Mrs. Brown and her ex-brother-in-law, then she said to Sonny,

“Sonny, bring the flowers you bought for your dad.”

She had fulfilled her promise to bring Sonny to visit Hank, and everyone in the Brown family was happy

about it.

They thought it was kind and considerate of Liberty to come and visit Hank who was now hospitalized

with severe injuries, especially considering that they had been divorced for a while.

However, when the Browns saw Duncan being pushed in by a bodyguard, their smiles disappeared.

One of Duncan’s bodyguards was carrying two boxes of nutritional supplements and, at Duncan’s

signal, he placed them on the bedside table.novelbin

Duncan politely greeted the Browns and said, “I came to see Mr. Brown.”

The Browns looked at each other. In the end, Mr. Brown managed to squeeze out a smile and thanked

Duncan.

They knew that their son had no chance of winning Liberty back, but seeing her and Duncan coming

together also made Mr. Brown feel inexplicably uncomfortable.

They had lost a daughter-in-law who was able to take good care of the family.

It would be difficult to reclaim her now.

Their ex-daughter-in-law now already had a new pursuer, he was a hundred times better than their son.

If their ex-daughter-in-law was not blind, she would not choose their son over Duncan.

Sonny did not notice the tension between the adults, as he was only a three year-old child.

He carried a bouquet of flowers to the bed, looking at Hank. Hank was looking at his son too. It felt very

surreal.

He was in a near-death condition not too long ago.

After escaping death, looking at his son ignited a surge of paternal love within him.

“Sonny.”

Hank’s voice calling his son was somewhat hoarse due to excitement.

“Dad, I bought this bouquet of flowers for you with my own money. It’s from me.”

Sonny handed the bouquet to his father. He sensed that his father had changed somehow, to the point

where Sonny almost did not recognize him.

Hank had become much thinner, and that was what made Sonny feel that his father was different.

Hank extended his hand which was free from the IV drip, and accepted the bouquet given to him by his

son, smiling brightly. “Sonny bought flowers for Dad. They’re so beautiful. Dad likes them very much

and is very happy.”

His son knew to buy him flowers.
