Serenity and Elisa chatted for a while more until Mr. Stone and Clive came home.
Seeing as the father and son were back, Elisa and Serenity followed them into the house.
Nonetheless, Serenity soon left the Stones’ residence because Zachary called her.
She then went to York Corporation.
Zachary had just finished a meeting. He left the meeting room and returned to his office as the CEO.
As soon as he sat, Serenity knocked on the door and entered.
“Honey.”
When Zachary saw Serenity, he got up and went around his desk to welcome her.
“You called me and asked me to come to your office. Is there something urgent? You didn’t want to tell
me when I asked you on the phone.”
Serenity hurriedly left the Stones to come here because Zachary asked her to, but he did not tell her
why when she asked him. She was worried, so she quickly came over.
Zachary pulled Serenity to sit on the sofa. He then poured a glass of warm water and took some
snacks over for her before answering with a smile, “It’s nothing, I just want to have lunch with you at
noon. I saw that it was almost lunchtime, so I called you in advance and asked you to come over to
wait for me.”
Serenity glared at him.
She thought he had something urgent, but it turned out that he wanted her to have lunch with her.
“Aunt Audrey prepared lunch for me. They made a lot of my favorite food because they thought I was
staying for lunch. You called me and asked me to come over without telling me anything, so I hurried
over but…”
Serenity lost her smile and slapped his arm. “You scared me to death. I thought something big
happened.”
Zachary hugged her and kissed her face several times. He smiled and said, “Eating with your husband
is also a big thing. Food is a human’s first need, so eating is a big thing.”
Serenity was speechless.
“Honey, it’ll be our first wedding anniversary soon. What do you want as a gift?”
Zachary hugged her and did not let go. He liked the feeling of her nestled in his arms. Embracing her
made him feel like he had the world.
“I can’t think of what I’m lacking; you’ve given me everything I lacked. It’s not time yet, right? Once our
wedding anniversary is here, we’ll also have to prepare for our wedding.”
“It’s not here yet, but it’s also not far away—it’s in less than a month. I’ll think about it and not tell you
what the gift is, so I can surprise you when the time comes.”
Serenity asked with a smile, “What surprise can you think of?”
Zachary would either give her jewelry, branded clothes or bags, and so on. Anything bigger than those
would be a luxury car or a huge house.
Nevertheless, she would like whatever he gave her.
Serenity also had to think about what to prepare for Zachary as a gift.
It seemed that the gifts she usually gave him were pretty much the same and were nothing new.
Fortunately, it was easy to coax him. He would be happy as long as she prepared a gift for him, and he
would not mind that the gifts were often repeated.
Zachary lightly pinched her face and said, “Are you underestimating your husband? You deserve to be
punished.”
Following that, he passionately kissed her for some time before letting her go.
“We have to go to FC Manor at the end of this month. It’ll be the 100-day-old celebration of Ben’s

Serenity hummed. “I know, Nana is still staying there and reluctant to come back.”
Grandma May truly liked Chloe. She could not bear to leave her, so in the end, she was thick-faced and
decided to extend her stay to a few more days.
