Chapter 1929

The servant went to open the gate.

The two cars drove into the Stone family’s large villa.

Audrey and Alice only recognized Remy’s car, but not Julian’s car.

They rarely even saw Julian himself, let alone his car.

When Julian got out of the car and Audrey and Alice walked over, only then did Audrey realize that one

of the men was Julian.

“Good afternoon, Mrs. Stone.”

Julian greeted Audrey with a bright smile when he saw her coming.

“Mr. Bucham.”

Audrey smiled and said, “What wind blows you here to our doorstep today? What a rare quest. Please,

come in.”

“Even if you didn’t invite me in, I would have shamelessly entered to ask for a glass of water.”

Julian turned around and took out the bouquet he bought for Elisa from the car.

The bouquet that Elisa was holding now was from Remy, who also took her suitcase first, so Julian did

not have to help her take them.

“Mrs. Stone, Alice.”

Remy ignored Audrey’s enthusiasm toward Julian and greeted them politely.

Julian greeted Alice with a nod.

Since Julian was present, it was not appropriate for Audrey to be too indifferent to Remy. She hummed

and looked at her daughter, who was smiling like a lovesick fool. Even her eyes were filled with

sweetness.

This child really adored Remy.

Audrey sighed in her heart.

Elisa had good taste. The men she picked and fell in love with were all excellent.

Unfortunately, her first love was unrequited. Her second love was reciprocated, but the Johnsons lived

too far.

In the words of her daughter-in-law, they would wait and see for now. They would see how long Remy

could persist, and whether a man more suitable for Elisa would suddenly pop up.

“Mom, Alice.”

Elisa held the bouquet and jumped in front of her mother, greeting her with a laugh.

Audrey immediately pulled a face and nagged, “Elisa, you’re an adult. Can’t you walk properly? Why

are you jumping around?

“Those flowers are too hard on the eyes. Hurry up and put them away.”

Elisa laughed and said, “Even if I’m a hundred years old, I’m still a child in front of you. What’s wrong

with jumping around? Look how beautiful these flowers are. Remy gave them to me. I love them. You

say they’re unpleasant, but I bet it’s you being envious that your daughter got flowers. I’ll call Dad and

tell him to buy you flowers when he comes back later, so you won’t have to be envious of me anymore.”

Audrey was speechless.

Alice snickered.

She laughed and said, “Elisa, invite Mr. Johnson and Mr. Bucham into the house first.”

Elisa returned to Remy’s side, took his arm affectionately, and grinned. “Remy is a frequent visitor to

our abode. There’s no need to invite him.”

She looked at Julian and said, “Please come in and have a seat, Mr. Bucham.”

Julian handed the bouquet to Elisa and said, “Elisa, it’s unusual for a grown man like me to carry a

bouquet. I bought this bouquet for you and prepared it carefully with you in mind, so accept it.”

As he said that, he forcefully removed Remy’s bouquet from Elisa’s arms and placed his into her arms.novelbin

Elisa reflexively hugged the bouquet with her empty hand.

Audrey and Alice were stunned.
