Chapter 1921

Hayden was silent for a moment before saying in a low voice, “Kevin publicly announced that he would

pursue me, but I’m a man! I believe you wouldn’t want to see your cousin become a homosexual. You

must handle this matter well, Mr. York.”

“Kevin publicly announced that he would pursue you? Did he take action? Or was he just saying it?”

Zachary clearly already knew all the juicy details, but he feigned ignorance and asked Hayden anyway.

“He courted me today—sent me flowers and even spelled out a sentence using roses in front of my

company building, attracting the attention of countless people. Now, everyone in Jensburg is probably

discussing my relationship with him.

“Mr. York, as far as I know, Kevin was still a straight man when he was in Wiltspoon. I have not heard of

him having tendencies of swinging the other way. Now that he has, you must hurry up and nip it in the

bud. You can’t let him go on like this.

“Most importantly, I won’t reciprocate his pursuit and feelings. They’re destined to be fruitless. He will

only be wasting his time by doing so, and the one who will be hurt is also him.”

With Zachary’s love for his cousins, Hayden thought that he would definitely take care of Kevin.

Unexpectedly, when she finished speaking, Zachary was silent for a moment before saying, “Mr.

Queen, if it were anything else, I might be able to help you solve it, but I don’t think I can help you with

this. Feelings are private matters. Even if I’m Kevin’s cousin, I can’t control his feelings.

“If he truly likes you, then we will also respect his decision.

Hayden paused. “Mr. York… You don’t care if Kevin is gay?”

“How could I care? Matters of the heart can’t be managed. There are many homosexuals in the world.

Don’t their parents try to manage them too? What is the use of it? Someone who likes men will likenovelbin

men no matter what. It can’t be changed.”

Zachary said as if he was very open-minded, “It doesn’t matter whether Kevin likes men or women. We

just want him to be happy. If he’s happy, then everything is fine.”

Hayden was speechless.

After a long time, she asked, “Do Kevin’s parents not care either?”

“My aunts and uncles are all very open-minded and never bother about the relationships of the younger

generation. Only my nana will manage a little.”

At the mention of Grandma May, Hayden seemed to have caught a lifeline and said, “I heard that

Grandma May has a wife chosen for Kevin. She can’t ignore him if he’s pursuing me now, right?

“Mr. York, I seriously suspect that Kevin is only using me as a shield because he doesn’t like the wife

that Grandma May picked for him. That’s why he’s appearing to be gay.”

Zachary said calmly, “I’m not too sure about that. This is Kevin’s private affair. Although I’m their cousin,

I won’t meddle in my cousins’ affairs unless they come to me for help. My uncles and aunts don’t care

that much either. I’m just their cousin. There’s nothing much I can do.

“However, it’s true that Kevin has disturbed you by directly pursuing you and not giving you a chance to

react. It must have startled you. I apologize to you on his behalf.”

Zachary sincerely said to Hayden, “I’m sorry.”

The ones who suggested Kevin make his move head-on were Callum and Serenity.

Zachary was apologizing to Hayden on behalf of his wife. In any case, it was a fact that they had

surprised Hayden.

Hayden was not prepared at all when Kevin tried to pursue her.

“It’s not your fault, Mr. York.”

Hayden was reasonable and knew that Zachary was not to blame for this matter.

In Zachary’s words, even Kevin’s parents may not be able to control his emotional affairs, let alone

Zachary, who was just his cousin.

“I’m sorry for bothering you, Mr. York.”

Hayden apologized and ended the phone call with Zachary.
