Chapter 1913

After a moment, Josh said, “I wish I could go to Jensburg to get first-hand gossip.”

Zachary told him, “You can still get first-hand information even in Wiltspoon. Kevin had only given

Hayden the flowers an hour ago, yet you’ve learned about it. Do you even need to go to Jensburg?”

Josh smiled and said, “Although I can get intel in Wiltspoon, it’s still quicker if I were in Jensburg.”

“There are twenty minutes left until we can get off work,” Zachary suddenly said.

“So? I’m going to have a meal with my wife after clocking off. Oh, right. I have to tell her about this big

news. She loves gossip the most. I’m not afraid of you laughing at me, Zachary, but I feel like Jasmine

only married me to obtain first-hand gossip.”

Zachary said, “It seems like you have some self-awareness.”

Josh said, “It can’t be. It must’ve been because I was excellent, treated her well, and our personalities

complemented each other. We got together because she had fallen in love with me and not to become

gossiping partners.

“Nevertheless, having someone to gossip with feels great. I’m requesting to leave twenty minutes early.

I have to go back and eat with my wife. The traffic will be getting heavier. I’ll be home just in time for

dinner.”

Josh stood up to leave after speaking.

Zachary told him, “You’ve been coming in late and leaving early every day. Where did the old dedicated

Josh go?”

“Didn’t you do the same in the past? You weren’t professional at all, and I learned that from you.

Besides, this is York Corporation, your family’s company. It doesn’t belong to the Buchams.”

Josh was thick-skinned. He was not afraid of his friend nagging him about leaving early.

When he reached the office door, he stopped and turned to say, “You’re dedicated to work now

because your wife isn’t home. If your wife were back home, you would’ve left earlier than me.”

Zachary smiled and said, “You can leave. Is having a wife that proud of a thing? As if I don’t have one

myself.”

“Yes, having a wife is that great.”

Josh left smugly.

He could enjoy piping hot food prepared by his wife when he got home. What would Zachary have?

There would only be his wife’s pets waiting for him at home.

Zachary did not like pets anyway. He kept complaining that Serenity’s pets had been raised like pigs.

Of course, he only dared to complain secretly and not right before Serenity.

Meanwhile, in Jensburg, Hayden had a lunch appointment.

When her secretary knocked on the door to remind her about it, she raised her left hand and looked at

her watch. She replied, “Okay.”

After giving the reminder, the secretary did not leave immediately. She stood opposite Hayden and

hesitated to speak.

Noticing the secretary’s odd behavior, Hayden finally lifted her head and looked toward the secretary.

She asked in a deep voice, “What else is there?”

“Mr. Queen, it’s Mr. Kevin York…”

“What’s wrong with him?”

Did she not chase him away already?

“He hasn’t left,” the secretary replied.

“Is he still waiting at the entrance?” Hayden asked. What was Kevin trying to do?

Was he not going to leave unless she accepted his flowers?

The secretary nodded and said, “I received a call from the security department. Not only has he not left,

he has even ordered lots of flowers to be delivered here. He used those flowers to form words at the

company’s entrance. The words are: [Hayden, I want to pursue you!].”

Hayden almost crushed the pen in her hand.

Kevin was really putting her in trouble.

The scandals he was creating were shocking enough. A bouquet had made her the topic of all

employees in the company.

Hayden thought the issue would be resolved after chasing Kevin away, but she did not think he wouldnovelbin

cause a scene at the entrance. He even spelled words using flowers.

“Inform everyone in the security department to go out and clear all those flowers.”
