Chapter 1904

The relationship destroyed both Jessica and Hank, while Liberty was the winner in this conflict because

she got the courage to divorce Hank. With that, Liberty was reborn.

“I’m sorry, Liberty.”

Jessica repeatedly wrote her apology in the letter.

She owed Liberty the apology and even though it was late, she apologized in the end.

Liberty went silent for a while after she finished reading the letter. She then looked at the lawyer and

said, “Hank is still in the ICU, his life is still hanging on a thread, so it’s not the end for Jessica yet.”

She also provided her answer on what Jessica did to her in the past. “I accept her apology but I can

never forgive her, at least not now. It’s not just because she intervened and sabotaged my marriage,

she hurt my son, Sonny. I can’t simply forgive a person who wants me and my son dead.

“If she has the chance to make it right, I hope she does it behind bars. When she’s released in the

future, I hope she can contribute to society. Consider it her redemption.”

The lawyer went silent after he got Liberty’s answer. He finished his glass of water and said, “Thank

you, Ms. Hunt, for your answer. I will relay the answer to my client.

“And my client also made it clear that if she and Mr. Brown are not around anymore, the house will be

given to Mr. Brown’s son, Sonny Brown.”

Jessica had always dreamt of having a house and a home in the city.

She fell for Hank because Hank got promoted to manager at a young age and owned a house in the

city, near the school.

Now, Jessica only wanted to end her miserable life.

If she was allowed to live, she would give her remaining assets to Sonny as compensation.

“We’ll talk about that in the future.”

Hank was still fighting for his life.

Besides, Hank’s parents were still around. If Hank could not make it, his assets should be inherited by

his parents and his spouse.novelbin

Liberty did not want to discuss the inheritance before Hank passed.

As for the house Jessica mentioned, Liberty did not want to fight for it either, even if it was for Sonny.

However, if the Browns agreed and Jessica gave up on it, she would accept it on behalf of Sonny.

Even without the house, she and Sonny had a place to live.

Now, she concentrated on earning money and she believed one day, she would be able to afford a

house on her own, a house that belonged to her and her son.

In fact, if she wanted, her sister and brother-in-law could give her a big mansion, but she did not want

her sister’s gift.

She wanted to rely on her own strength to buy her own house.

The lawyer nodded. “Thank you for your time, Ms. Hunt. I’ll be going now.”

Liberty saw the lawyer off.

Duncan wheeled himself out of the office as well.

Liberty sent the lawyer out of the restaurant and stood at the entrance, watching him enter the car and

left her sight.

Some thoughts later, she turned around and saw Duncan wheeling himself over to her. She strode over

to help.

“Mr. Lewis, are you leaving? Let me help.”

“No. I just want to have a look.”

Duncan had not spent time with Liberty today, why would he want to leave?

He planned to stay until evening and have dinner with her.
