Chapter 1891

Kevin said with a smile, “I haven’t helped match Mr. Hayden with anyone yet, so you don’t need to

thank me.”

He looked at Hayden and said jokingly, “Mr. Hayden, you must work harder. When you get married one

day, you must invite me to your wedding.”

Hayden responded calmly, “If that day comes, I’ll surely invite you to the wedding, Mr. Kevin.”

She had made up her mind not to marry anyone in her life.

After having breakfast, Sophia asked the maid to help pack all kinds of food and drink for them.

Although there was now little hope for Kevin to become her son-in-law, she still wanted her daughter to

follow him to the ranch to ride horses and exercise instead of staying at home all day.

Hayden said rather helplessly, “Mom, I don’t stay at home all day. I only have one day off a week.”

Sometimes she would not even get to rest when she needed to attend parties and social events on

weekends.

It was not easy to be a member of the Queen family.

Donald remained the nominal head of the Queens but everyone knew he was almost completely

hands-off and handed over all company matters to Hayden and her brother.

“I told you to let Hugh take care of the company’s affairs on Saturday so you can have two days off a

week. Look at your skin—it is looking bad from you staying up late at night. You have to use the

skincare products I bought you and don’t be lazy to use them. Even if you’re naturally beautiful, when

the time comes, your age will show if you don’t use skincare products.”

Sophia lowered her voice toward the end, so Kevin did not hear it.

Hayden was unbothered. “I got it.”

It was hard for her to stick to a skincare regime. When she woke up every morning, she would simply

wash up and have some breakfast before going to the company for daily stand-ups.

“I’m back.”

While Hayden was leading Kevin out, Hugh rushed home.

He was startled when he saw that his sister was going to go out with Kevin. He pulled her to the side

and asked softly, “Bro, what the hell are you doing? Are you going out to play? Why did you summon

me back if you’re heading out? I’m supposed to take some friends out to sea on my yacht today. We

were already at the dock when you called.”

“Enough with the nonsense. Follow us to the ranch to ride horses.”

Hugh was speechless.

“Kevin is grateful that I helped him with his house purchase, so he’s insisting on treating me to dinner

so as to not owe me a favor. We’ll ride horses first, then we’ll have dinner. He’ll probably want to go to

the hot spring after that too. You’ll do that with him.”

Hayden briefly told her brother about the itinerary today, and then she left him behind and walked to her

car.

Hugh was quick to react. He fully grasped his sister’s intention of calling him back; it was to cover hernovelbin

so that Kevin would not find out about her real identity.

“Bro, I’ll take your car.”

Hugh wanted to talk to his sister. He shamelessly went into her luxury car before letting the chauffeur

drive.

Kevin waited until Hayden’s personal car drove out of Queen Manor with the bodyguards’ cars around

it. He then drove his Maybach and followed behind the Queen siblings unhurriedly.

Hugh turned to look and saw that Kevin’s car was far from theirs. There were two to three cars in

between them, so it was convenient for him to talk to her sister.

“Bro, I think you’re particularly defensive against Kevin.”

Hugh did not address Hayden as his sister since the driver was in the car.

Hayden did not say anything.

She was indeed wary of Kevin, but she did not know why either.

She just felt that Kevin was too cunning.

“He’s too cunning,” Hayden answered in a low voice.

“Who in our circle isn’t? Other people also say that we’re as cunning as foxes.”

Hugh thought that he and his sister were not honest people.
