“Are you at Uncle Kevin’s place now?” Liberty knew that his son was referring to Kevin York.
Sonny hummed. “We’re at Uncle Kevin’s place now, but we’re leaving soon. I don’t know where we’re
going. Great-grandma and Aunt Ser will decide!”
He only tagged along to eat, drink, and play.
Liberty asked, “Are you using Aunt Ser’s new phone to call me?”
“No, this is Uncle Kevin’s phone. Aunt Ser is charging her phone.”
Liberty snorted. “Where’s your aunt? I want to speak to her.”
“I’ll go find her! Wait for a while, Mom.”
Sonny went to look for Serenity while he talked on the phone. Kevin followed him for fear that the boy
would fall if he ran too fast.
“Aunt Ser, Mom wants to talk to you.” Sonny found Serenity and immediately handed the phone to her.
Serenity answered the phone and greeted her sister.
“Seren, why don’t you use your new number to message or call Zachary? You should’ve told Zachary
before you go on a trip. He seems to have lost his soul when you’re not at home. It’s the weekend, but
he’s not in the mood to relax. He can’t eat or sleep well, and he has dark circles under his eyes now.
“He’s now at my diner. I made chicken noodle soup for him, but he couldn’t stomach it because he
missed you too much.”
Liberty first lectured her sister, then she walked a few steps away to distance herself from Zachary and
asked her sister in a low voice, “Seren, did you and Zachary get into a fight? Zachary keeps guessing if
he did something wrong for Nana to vent on your behalf. That’s why Nana did this to him.”
When Serenity heard that her husband could not eat and sleep well, she asked with concern, “Is it true
that Zachary can’t eat? This isn’t my first time away from home. I often travel for business.”novelbin
“Your business trips are usually three to five days, and he can still talk to you, message, and video call
you. This time, you didn’t contact him, so he’s upset. You didn’t tell him when you’re coming back either
and even changed your number. He’s sad and doesn’t have an appetite. He couldn’t even eat the
chicken noodle soup that I made him.
“He also has dark circles under his eyes. I can tell it’s because he didn’t sleep well. He really looks like

Serenity said, “He grumbled in front of Nana that I only cared about making money and neglected him,
so Nana took me away and asked me to really ignore him for once. That way, he could feel what it was
really like to be neglected. Then, hopefully, he’ll stop whining about me in the future. I never
complained that he was busy with work and didn’t have time to accompany me. But when I was busy,
he always complained about me. He’s always so bitter.”
Thinking of her husband’s sulky face, Serenity could not help but laugh.
“Men are like that when they’re in love for the first time. Zachary is a domineering and self-centered
man. He has changed a lot for you. You can leave him alone for two days, but remember to contact
him, lest he won’t be in the mood to work next week.”
It was the weekend, so Liberty did not care if Serenity ignored her husband for two days.
However, Liberty thought that Serenity should contact Zachary on a work day, lest people from York
Corporation suffer.
“Alright.”
“Zachary wants to talk to you now.”
After Liberty finished speaking, she walked back to Zachary and handed the phone to him.
She said, “Sonny borrowed Kevin’s phone to call me. Seren and the rest are at Kevin’s place now. Do
you know where Kevin is?”
“He’s in Jensburg now.”
Zachary finally knew the whereabouts of his beloved wife and planned to fly to Jensburg later.
However, Liberty added, “Sonny said that they’re leaving soon.”
Zachary immediately took the phone from his sister-in-law.
Liberty tactfully walked away to give some privacy to the young couple.
“Honey, you’re so cruel! Why didn’t you tell me when you go on vacation? I can arrange the company’s
affairs in advance and go out with you too…”
Zachary whined on the phone that his wife abandoned him and ran away.
“Nana proposed it at the last minute, so we decided to go on an impromptu trip. I thought you’ve been
so busy recently, so I didn’t want to bother you. That’s why I didn’t tell you about it.”
Zachary muttered something in a low voice, but Serenity could not hear what he said on the other end
of the line.
