Chapter 1822

Serenity instantly knew the cause.

She guessed she had been schemed against, and it was her man who saved her. No wonder she woke

up with an ache in her waist.

Instead of discussing this matter with Grandma May, Serenity chose to have her breakfast. She

planned to ask Zachary about it when he returned.

Meanwhile, a rare guest, Andrew, visited the CEO’s office at York Corporation.

Zachary put down his pen. He lifted the cup of coffee from his desk with one hand while taking out his

phone from his pocket with the other. Just as he wanted to phone his beloved wife, Andrew knocked on

the door and came in.

When Zachary caught sight of Andrew, he chose not to phone his beloved wife for the time being. He

sipped his coffee, watching Andrew walk up to him.

“Zack.”

Andrew greeted Zachary before sitting opposite him.

“What would you like to drink?” Zachary asked his cousin.

“I’m not thirsty. If I am, I’ll fetch some water on my own.”

Since Andrew was his cousin, Zachary did not have to mind the courtesy. Since Andrew said that he

was not thirsty, Zachary did not pour him a glass of warm water.

“What brings you here? This is rare. Do you need my help?”

The Readings always kept a low profile, even though Andrew and Zachary were close. However, on

the surface, the Readings hardly came to disturb Zachary at work. That was why Zachary thought

Andrew came to ask for help.

“It’s regarding Elisa.”

Zachary put down the coffee cup and stared intently at Andrew. He asked, “What gives? We hadn’t met

for a while, and you’ve fallen in love with Elisa?”

Andrew promptly denied, “I’m not in love with her. Mrs. Stone came to meet me and asked for my help.

She wanted me to pretend as though I was interested in Elisa and go after her so Remy would stop

pursuing Elisa.

“Mrs. Stone doesn’t accept Remy as she can’t bear to see her daughter move to a faraway place after

her daughter marries. Well, she should be glad that Remy is in love with and ready to marry her

daughter. Elisa has a bad reputation in Wiltspoon. What’s more, she used to be infatuated with you.

Many people won’t consider getting into a relationship with her.”

Elisa used to be infatuated with Zachary. Although she had gotten over Zachary, none of the

Wiltspoonians would consider dating her, worried that Elisa would compare them to Zachary. They

were not on Zachary’s level nor did they like to be compared with him.

“The Johnsons in Annenburg are wealthy. They have an asset of hundreds of billions. Even though

Remy isn’t the head of the family, his brother is. He’s in charge of FC & Co.’s business in Wiltspoon. Henovelbin

has a substantial income, so he’s qualified to be with Elisa.

“Remy has some properties in Wiltspoon. The house he bought is close to the Stones’ villa, and the

two families are now neighbors. I wonder what Mrs. Stone’s concern is. Why is she so stubborn?

“After Duncan met with an accident, Mrs. Stone dared not stop Elisa and Remy from getting together

as Mrs. Lewis did to Duncan. She tried to come up with improper means and kept setting Elisa and me

up. Zack, Mrs. Stone is such an annoyance.

“I’m worried that if I promise to help her, Elisa will give up on Remy and fall in love with me. What

should I do then? Should I marry her? If I can’t help but fall in love with her yet she doesn’t love me,

what should I do? Doesn’t that mean I’ll have to experience unrequited love again?”

Zack replied, “I didn’t know Aunt Audrey is still worried about this matter.”

Andrew said, “Exactly. Zack, she’s Serenity’s aunt. Mrs. Stone values you. Perhaps you can advise

her.”
