Chapter 1773

Chapter 1773

Liberty listened as George tore into Jessica while thinking to herself, ‘Surely, the Browns pushed

Jessica too far until a weak girl like her went stabbing.’ People tended to act recklessly when cornered

and pressured.

Murder often happened when people were pushed over the edge.

Liberty was not surprised that Jessica would stab Chelsea since Chelsea loved to stir the pot.

Chelsea often poked her nose in Hank’s business, so it was no wonder Hank’s wife resented her.

Before Liberty and Hank got a divorce, Liberty hated Chelsea’s guts.

It was a good thing that Chelsea did not always stick around the Browns’ family home back then.

The breathing space kept Liberty from losing her mind and committing murder.

Chelsea resented Jessica for aiding and abetting outsiders to kidnap Lucas, so she went after Jessica

at every turn.

Chelsea would create a rift between Hank and Jessica and pit her parents against Jessica every time

she stayed at the Browns’ residence.

The Browns’ household was riddled with unrest.

Even the most docile person had a temper.

Unable to take Chelsea’s behavior anymore, Jessica channeled her anger into the stabbing.

Liberty believed families would welcome their married daughters with open arms when the daughters

came home for a visit.

However, it was a different story when these daughters interfered in their brother’s marriage or caused

a disagreement between their parents and sisters-in-law.

These daughters would end up like Chelsea.

Liberty was baffled by the reason behind Jessica’s potentially lethal stabbing.

Hank had always been good to Jessica, be it before or after they tied the knot.

Hank took Jessica’s side even though his parents and sister were not in favor of Jessica.

They badmouthed Jessica and insisted Hank leave Jessica, but the man would not budge.

He even tried to mediate between the two sides, but his parents and sister were stubborn.

Hank could not get through to them.

Jessica lost her unborn child not too long ago, and it was her first baby too.

She must be devastated for sure.

Perhaps Jessica held bitterness toward Hank over the matter and tried to stab Hank to death.

These were only Liberty’s assumptions.

“Liberty, Hank is Sonny’s dad.

You should visit him if you have the time.

If Hank doesn’t make it...

You could at least call Sonny over to see his father one last time and send him off.” George’s face was

bleak as he could not imagine something like this would happen to his in-laws.

His brother-in-law was still lying in the emergency room.

The past burned George’s cheeks in shame.

Although George never pushed Liberty around or took advantage of his brother-in-law, he enjoyed the

benefits of his wife freeloading the Browns, his parents-in-law’s looking after his children, and some

spending money off his brother-in-law’s allowance to his parents-in-law.

George never once told his wife to stop.

In other words, George was partly the cause of his brother-in- law’s ill fate.

Everything was good when Liberty was his wife’s sister-in-law.

There had never been a case of knife violence.

It was a big mistake! Hank should not have had an affair or divorce! “Liberty, I want to apologize for all

the bad things Chelsea and I have done to you in the past.novelbin

I’m really sorry!” George believed they owed Liberty an apology.

Liberty fell silent for a moment before answering, “It’s all in the past.

I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

I'll check out the emergency room later.

“Mr. Repton, go on and take care of Chelsea.” George nodded his head and took off.

Liberty waited until George left before walking out of the in- patient department.

Mrs. Lewis wheeled Duncan to an open space at the front of the in- patient department for a stroll.

There were a lot of people at the hospital, and people seemed to be in a rush everywhere.

In the beginning, Duncan was afraid to meet strangers downstairs.

The last thing he wanted was sympathetic looks from them.
