Chapter 1754

Chapter 1754

Dalton was a man filled with gratitude.

In the past, Camryn had saved and helped him out of the goodness of her heart.

He had been repaying her kindness since then and now had become her right-hand man.

Aunt Evelyn had thought about matchmaking the two of them as she found Dalton reliable.

Dalton did not hold Camryn in contempt just because she was blind.

What was more, he was interested in Camryn, but he concealed it so well that no one noticed it.

However, Camryn treated Dalton as an older brother without any feelings of romance.

After attempting to matchmake them several times, Aunt Evelyn gave up.

“No problem at all, Aunt Evelyn.

Take a seat.

Once the food is ready, I’ll let both of you know.” Dalton returned to the kitchen and carried on with his

preparation.

Camryn and Aunt Evelyn sat on the couch.

“Aunt Evelyn, why didn’t you bring Angel over?” Angel was Aunt Evelyn’s granddaughter who just

turned two.

She was honey-tongued and likable.

“Angel is staying at her grandmother’s place to spend her summer holiday.

I didn’t depart from my house.

I went to Annenburg a few times, but I didn’t get to meet the genius doctor.

I managed to meet Dr.

Carden, though.” Upon hearing that, Camryn was slightly nervous.

Dr.

Carden was the apprentice of the genius doctor and also his only apprentice.

The genius doctor had passed on all his medical knowledge to Dr.

Carden, who excelled at poisoning.

She was a toxicology expert.

It was said that no one dared to offend Dr.

Carden for fear that they would be secretly poisoned by her.

“Is Dr.

Carden...

willing to treat my eyes?” Camryn asked in a soft tone.

Aunt Evelyn was quiet for a moment, but she lifted Camryn’s hand and asked, “How has Mr. Callum

been treating you recently?” “He had been away on a business trip for some time.

He came back not long ago and still treats me the same.

He’s as shameless as ever, always calling me his fiancée.

Now, everyone in Wiltspoon takes me for his fiancée.” Camryn might seem to be complaining, but in

fact, her words carried a hint of flirtation.

“Didn't he tell you the truth?” Camryn was momentarily dazed before she asked, “What truth? What did

he lie to me about?” “Mir.

Callum wasn’t away on a business trip.novelbin

In fact, he went to Annenburg to visit Dr.

Carden in FC Manor every day.

He went there several times a day.

He was so shameless that he almost thought of staying at the manor.

Mr. Tim even had the urge to release a wolfhound to bite Mr. Callum.” Upon hearing that, Camryn

asked, “Aunt Evelyn, did he get bitten by the wolfhound?” “No.

He learned earlier than me that Dr.

Carden returned to FC Manor with Mr. Tim.

Once Mr. Callum found out, he headed to Annenburg.

He went to the manor every day to beg Dr.

Carden to treat your eyes.

“Dr.

Carden has a giant belly now.

It looks like she’s going to give birth soon, so she turned him down.

But she promised that after she gives birth and the baby turns one month, she’ll continue to make

house calls and come over to treat your eyes first.

“Mr. Callum wanted to hire the genius doctor to treat you, but Dr.

Carden said that he doesn’t make house calls anymore, but he still travels around.

Sometimes, even Dr.

Carden can’t reach him.

That’s why Mr. Callum came back feeling helpless.” After hearing what Aunt Evelyn said, Camryn

remained silent for along time.

It turned out that what Callum said was true.

He said he would hire the genius doctor or Dr.

Carden to treat her eyes.

In order to hire Dr.

Carden, Callum behaved so shamelessly that even Tim hated him to such an extent that he had the

urge to release the hound to bite Callum.

Camryn was emotional.

It would be a lie to say that she was not touched.

After some time, she asked gently, “Why didn’t he tell me about the matter?” Aunt Evelyn had no idea.

If she had not gone to FC Manor and met Tim and Dr.

Carden, she would not have learned that Callum had met Dr.

Carden earlier than she did.

“No matter why he hid it from you, I must admit that he’s genuinely in love with you, Camryn.

I can tell that you have feelings for him too.

If you can’t get over him, you should accept him.” Aunt Evelyn patted the back of Camryn’s hand.

“You must deal with your life problems on your own.

You won't be able to solve them if you keep avoiding or getting entangled in them.”
