Married At First Sight By Gu Lingfei Chapter 1712

Chapter 1712

With a scowl, Duncan ordered Liberty.

“Alright.” Liberty gladly obliged.

Rising to her feet, Liberty put the food container on the bedside table before helping Duncan to get into

a seated position.

Duncan had a burly frame.

Although he had lost a lot of weight, Duncan still weighed a ton.

Liberty had to pick his weight up since Duncan was not even trying.

Liberty had spent months recovering from an injury.

During her recuperation, Liberty could not do any heavy lighting.

Her strength was unlike before.

It took a lot of effort for Liberty to prop Duncan up.

Duncan was not enjoying any bit of it either.

Liberty was not strong enough, and the agony in his legs drained Duncan of any energy.

Sure, Duncan intentionally let Liberty do all the lifting in the beginning, but he soon could not wait to sit

up.

Liberty could barely lift him despite heaving, pulling, and tugging, so Duncan started to work with her.

More importantly, Duncan could not stand Liberty getting too close to him.

This was the love of his life after all.

“Mir. Lewis, does it hurt your legs to be in this position?” Duncan winced.

“Of course, it does.

My legs hurt every time I move them.” “T’m sorry.

I don’t have enough strength to lift you up in one go.

Oh, I mean, help you up.” After catching her breath, Liberty proceeded to pull the bed railing up and set

up the overbed table for eating.

She then put the food container on the overbed table.

“See if the stew is to your liking, Mr. Lewis.” Duncan faintly said, “There’s a spoon.

Go and find me a spoon.” “Oh,” Liberty answered.

She saw the spoon when she was looking for a bowl.

Liberty found the spoon and gave it a wash before handing it to Duncan.

All that fuss made Duncan hungry.

Nevertheless, he kept a sour face and said, “You better get out right after I finish the stew.” “Sure.

I will go out...” ‘For a bit.’ “Hurry up and enjoy the stew while it’s hot, Mr. Lewis.

It won’t taste the same when it’s cold.

You might get diarrhea instead.” Liberty urged Duncan to take a sip of the stew.

It was time to gain back all the weight.

With Duncan finally digging into the stew, Liberty tenderly said, “ Mr. Lewis, we all care about you.

It’s not to see you in a sorry state.

You can get better.

The doctor said so.

Don’t give up on yourself.” Duncan lifted his head and gave her a dirty look before curtly saying, “I'll

stop eating the stew if you continue to talk.” “Fine, fine.novelbin

I’ll stop talking. Go on.

Finish your stew.” Duncan lowered his head and went back to his food.

There was no telling whether he was too hungry or the stew was delicious, but Duncan could not stop

after the first few sips.

He scooped one spoonful after another of stew into his mouth until the food container was empty.

Every last bit of food went into his belly.

“How was it? Was it delicious?” Liberty tenderly asked.

Duncan replied, “You can leave now.” With a smile, Liberty took the empty container and got up before

uttering, “Just watch, Mr. Lewis.

I’ll leave now.” She then took off with the food container in hand.

Once out of the ward, Liberty went to get water from the pantry and then to the washroom to clean the

food container.

After washing the container, Liberty reentered the ward.

She put down the food container and said, “I’m back again, Mr. Lewis.” Duncan was lost for words.

Oh, the nerve of the woman! She was banking on the fact he could not walk or do anything to her!
