The fragrance suited her a lot
Caroline raised her head and looked at him with her bright eyes. The man slightly lowered his tall figure
and trapped her in between his arms and the sink.
He looked elegant and mature, exuding a graceful aura.
Caroline turned around and pushed her hands against his chest. “Mr. Faraday, please behave
yourself!”
“Mr. Faraday? You seem to like calling me Mr. Faraday. I heard from my secretary that you gave me a
call and called out ‘Mr. Faraday’ then hung up the phone. Then you didn’t answer the phone when I
called you back. What’s wrong?” Nathan teased.
Caroline immediately felt her face blushing. The man was so sharp that he had already seen through
her embarrassment then. He was only trying to tease her now.
She remained silent.
Nathan pinched her chin and forced her to look up at him as he asked, “Did Logan bother you?”
Initially, Caroline didn’t feel wronged. But now, her eyes reddened when she heard his question. “Mr.
Statham vented his anger for you. He thinks I, an ugly woman from the countryside, am seducing you
and don’t deserve you. In fact, I have never seduced you. He’s accusing me.”
Shirley always forced Caroline to be her replacement. Except for being a replacement at night for
Shirley, Caroline had never taken the initiative to seduce him when she was herself.
She didn’t know why Nathan and his friends always accused her of seducing Nathan.
“Look, she’s feeling aggrieved now? If she hadn’t seduced me, she wouldn’t have slept with me on the
first day I returned to the country. If she hadn’t seduced me, she wouldn’t have pretended to be Shirley
and slept in my arms,” Nathan mused.
Caroline was being seductive without even being aware of it.
Looking at the tears rippling in her reddened eyes, Nathan almost couldn’t hold himself back.
He swallowed hard as he coaxed her half-truthfully. He rubbed her cherry lips hard back and forth with
his thumb and said, “I got it. He wronged you. Now that I’m back, I’ll beat him up to vent your anger for
you, okay?”
“What does he mean? What he said seemed to agree that I didn’t seduce him. But it also sounded like I
indeed seduced him,” thought Caroline.
It seemed like he was being perfunctory and playing with her.
Now, he was rubbing Caroline’s cherry lips as if he was toying with her lips. Caroline felt her cheeks
flush when she realized not only was Nathan alluring, but he was also a pe rvert.
Caroline grabbed his hand and pushed it away. Feeling very uncomfortable, she furrowed her brows
and demanded, “Mr. Faraday, let go of me!”
“Since you’ve addressed me as Mr. Faraday, I can’t let go of you easily. Caroline, I helped you with
Nora. Now I want you to repay me.”
“How do you want me to repay you?”
Nathan raised his eyebrows and asked, “What do you think you can do to repay me?”
Caroline felt her cheeks emanating heat as she replied, “I don’t know.”

“Should I give you a hint?” His eyes fell on her cherry lips.
The next second, his body pressed over her and leaned toward her lips.
“What is he trying to do? Is he going to kiss me? He isn’t drunk tonight, right? He isn’t thinking of me as
Shirley, right? Does he really want to kiss me, the ugly woman from the countryside?” Caroline mused.
Their breaths almost blended, and his se xy thin lips were right before hers.
Caroline was about to push him away, but he turned his head sideways before she could. He stretchednovelbin
his arms by her side, turned on the faucet behind her, and washed his hands.
“Do you think I’m going to kiss you?” His teasing voice sounded above her head.
