Chapter 913

And yet, here she was, suddenly wanting to take in a young girl who bore a striking resemblance toTyrone.

Why had Jennie’s parents abandoned her? She was a healthy baby, so why would they give her up foradoption?

And how could a single woman like Kira adopt a child in the first place?

But Wanda also knew Tyrone wouldn’t mess around outside of his marriage. But if he was the father, then who was the mother?

The more Wanda thought about it, the more confused she became. Was she overthinking things?novelbin

Despite the chaos in her mind, Wanda kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to cause anyunnecessary drama.

At noon, they sat down to have lunch, but the atmosphere was tense and uneasy. After sitting withWanda for a while, Sabrina excused herself to leave.

Sabrina drove to the coffee shop where she had arranged to meet Trevor. He had already been waitingfor her in a corner.

His eyes kept darting towards the door every few seconds. He felt nervous, and his hands weresweaty. He was afraid that Sabrina would stand him up.

“Sabrina, you’re here,” Trevor said, his voice filled with relief as she joined him.

Trevor couldn’t help but feel anxious. He watched Sabrina as she ordered her coffee with the waitress, his fists clenched tightly.

He was eager to show his value to her, to prove that he was worthy of her trust and respect. Finally, assoon as the waitress left, Trevor couldn’t wait any longer. “Sabrina, I asked my father about Decker.”

That day, Trevor’s mind was in a complete mess. He felt desperate and lost, unsure of what to do next.

Sabrina was young, beautiful, and rich. She had been through a divorce, which didn’t matter to him.She had always been there for him, offering her support and guidance.

Trevor couldn’t understand why Sabrina was still with him. He had nothing to offer her. Yet shecontinued to worry about him and care for him.

He couldn’t figure out why Sabrina didn’t break up with him.

When he got home, Trevor went straight to his father and asked him what Sabrina had told him. Heknew he had to get the information that Sabrina needed, no matter what it took. Trevor lied to hisfather, hoping to get a result that would be useful to Sabrina. So he could prove that he had somethingto offer her.

When Sabrina heard that Trevor had asked his father for the information that she requested, she wassurprised. She had thought he wouldn’t be able to help her.

“Go ahead,” Sabrina said, her eyes fixed on Trevor.

“My father told me that Decker did borrow money from Hobson Gordon. Hobson was a friend of myfather’s. When my father was young, both his parents went to prison. He had to go live with hisrelatives. But they sold him to another family. Later, my father accidentally ran into Hobson again whenhe came to work in the city. I didn’t even know my father had been sold before.

He’s getting old now and doesn’t care about it anymore.”

Sabrina lowered her head slightly as she listened to Trevor’s story. She nodded gently, her mind racingwith thoughts and questions. “I see.”
