Chapter 440

Chapter: 440

The revelation rendered the surroundings silent. Even the hostess froze momentarily, needing nofurther questions.

Noting his openness, she decided to take the reins. “If I may ask, Ms. Chavez was adopted by theBlakely family, hence she’s technically your sister. You’ve known each other for a long time. How didyou end up as spouses?”

Without flinching, Tyrone replied, “My wife joined the Blakely family at fifteen. We were merelyacquaintances then. She was sensible, humble, and academically outstanding, constantly offeringcompany to our grandparents, thus earning their affection. I admire her for that.

After parting ways with Galilea Clifford, I remained single for a year.

My wife returned from abroad to intern at our company. My grandfather wished for me to look out forher, and we naturally became closer. As for the ridiculous rumors online, we’re just an ordinary couple.I hope everyone maintains sanity and refrains from delving into our private life.”

“So you’ve been together for quite some time?”

“Yes, we recently celebrated our third wedding anniversary.”

Having mentioned Galilea, he needed to address it.

The hostess moved on to the relationship between Tyrone and Galilea.

“Some posted photos of you and Ms. Clifford during college days. Your classmates dubbed you ‘theperfect match.’ Both of you seemed compatible in family background, education, and appearance. What led to your break-up?”

Pausing momentarily, Tyrone finally said, “Our lives were just incompatible. I was engrossed in mydouble degrees in college, with studies monopolizing my time. I could hardly find time for Galilea.

Once I joined the workforce, my job became the center of my universe, sidelining her needs. Ourarguments escalated until we decided to part ways.”

His reasoning sounded reasonable enough.

“It seems that professional commitments interfered. Ms. Clifford is an actress and often disappears formonths at a stretch for shoots.

Relationships often suffer due to the lack of shared time. This is understandable. Considering you’rethe CEO of Blakely Group, Mr. Blakely, your schedule must be pretty hectic. How does Ms. Chavezrespond to this?”

Tyrone wore a smile. “She is equally engrossed in her work. We often find ourselves working overtimetogether, our rhythms synchronizing.”

“So, the internet chatter about Ms. Chavez entering Blakely Group through your influence is baseless?”

Tyrone simply shook his head, asserting, “We never pull strings in Blakely Group.”

“We’ve heard that Ms. Clifford has been collaborating with Blakely Group since her return from abroad.Mr. Blakely, did your decision to work with her stem from personal reasons?”novelbin

Originally, Darlene was appointed as the spokesperson, but the torch was passed onto Galilea later.

“Yes. She wished to return and pursue her career at home, so I extended my assistance.”

“I’m aware that not all couples manage to stay friends post breakup, even the peaceful ones. On herreturn, Ms. Clifford sought your assistance. Have you been in touch all this while? Don’t you worry

about Ms. Chavez’s reactions?”

“I’m a businessman, and Galilea’s father is my business associate. Our paths crossed occasionallypost our breakup. I harbor no regret in assisting her. However, I do think I could have done so moreappropriately, maintaining a healthy distance. I failed to consider how my wife might interpret this, leading to a series of unjust accusations against her. So, I owe her an apology.” Looking earnestly intothe camera, Tyrone confessed, “Sabrina, I’m sorry.”

“Is this the reason you agreed to this interview? It seems that you values her very much, Mr. Blakely.”
