Later, after her chat with Eddie, she concluded that if Tyrone truly wanted to protect her and was justkeeping a distance from her for her own good, he would definitely send someone to follow her aroundand ensure her safety.

Sabrina remembered Tom, who helped her expose Evan’s plot, and then she thought of the man whohelped her get rid of her annoying next-door neighbor. And there was Eddie’s revelation as well as thefamiliar figure she caught. She somehow found a connection between all of these events in her mind.

She believed that if Tyrone assigned a guard to watch over her, that person would tail her whenevershe ventured out after dark to ensure her safety.

While she was discussing with the policeman at the police station moments earlier, she stood near thewindow, surveying her surroundings. In the distance, she spotted a familiar figure.

The hooligans that approached her came at a convenient time. Seeing her chance to confirm herguess, Sabrina irritated them, thereby forcing Damon to rush to her rescue.

Since his identity had been discovered, Damon flicked his nose and asked, “How did you know it wasme? Did Eddie tell you?”

“I figured it out by myself. Allow me to treat you with a cup of coffee.”

In a cafe nearby, with her arms crossed over her chest, Sabrina leaned against the back of the chairand said, “Come on, tell me what happened.”

“What else could it be? Haven’t you figured it out?” Damon spread his hands in a gesture ofhelplessness.

“Did Tyrone ask you to come here?”

“Who else could it be?”

After confirming that Tom was Damon, Sabrina began to believe what Eddie said.

She wondered what was on Tyrone’s mind. He must be crazy. How could he choose to disassociatehimself from her like that?

“Have you been following me since I arrived in Philade?”

“I arrived a day after you.”

“Tyrone was accused of economic crime. Do you know what happened?”

“Someone must have framed him. He is incredibly intelligent. If he actually made such a mistake, hewould have already handled it.

There’s no way he would just sit around and wait for someone to come arrest him.”

Sabrina nodded. It clicked. Then, it must have been Blayze’s uncle’s doing.

“Do you know why someone would want to frame him?”

“I don’t know.”

“Why wouldn’t you know about that?”

“Well, do you know something?” Damon challenged.

Sabrina stuttered, unable to reply. She raised her mug of coffee to her lips and took a small sip. Theroom was quiet for a few moments before she spoke up suddenly. “I need to return.”novelbin
