“What did I do?” Sabrina furrowed her brows, puzzled.

Tyrone sneered, “You know what you have said to Jennie. You must feel very proud of yourself thatnovelbin

Jennie doesn’t want a new aunt now, right?”

Sabrina scoffed. It turned out that this was Tyrone’s perception of her. He must harbor strong

resentment toward her. Yet, he could pretend to like and care about her for such a long time for the bet,

and she had even fallen for his act. His months-long pretense of affection toward her must be hard for

him.

Sabrina’s hands clenched so tightly that her fingernails nearly pierced through her sleeves. Sabrina’s

heart shattered into a million pieces. Hurt and stunned by Tyrone’s cruel comment, she said softly, “I

didn’t take advantage of Jennie. After spending time with me, she’s not used to me leaving. I hope you

can be more understanding and tolerant of her. Goodbye.”

With that, Sabrina turned around and continued downstairs without looking back at Tyrone.

As Sabrina’s calm voice echoed down the stairs and her figure disappeared from his sight, Tyrone’s

heart sank.

Tyrone had followed Sabrina out just to have one last look at her.

But he had to say something cruel to irritate her and make her hate him.

After a while, she would eventually get over him and move on with her life. It was for the best. Only in

this way could she lead a peaceful life.

After making sure Tyrone couldn’t see her, Sabrina stopped. She placed her hand over her heart and

fought back the tears. A bitter smile formed on her Lips.

She had resolved not to love Tyrone, but facing his cold gaze and hearing his accusations still brought

sadness.

Just like the old wounds that she had for many years, she would always feel the pain in her heart.

Even though her heartache would eventually heal with time, at this moment, the pain she was

experiencing felt unbearable.

With her photography classes over, Sabrina distanced herself from Blayze due to her recent conflicts

with Sierra.

After discovering that Sabrina was leaving, Blayze asked to meet with her.

“I’m sorry for what had happened to you, Sabrina. I’ve been swamped lately.” Blayze sighed helplessly.

Blayze expressed regret for failing to keep his promise to Sabrina to prevent Rita from approaching her.

Rita still approached Sabrina and even drugged Sabrina.

“Blayze, it’s not your fault. She’s your stepmother. You can’t always control what she does,” Sabrina

replied.

Regardless of whether Blayze wanted to intervene or not, Sabrina couldn’t place blame on him.

“But I broke my promise. I heard that Rita came to see you a few days ago,” Blayze said apologetically.

“Yes, she approached me, but I rebuffed her and told her not to come to me again,” Sabrina replied,

staring at Blayze calmly.

“You are right. Sierra has done something wrong and should be punished. You don’t have to worry

about anything when Rita comes to you. Just refuse her,” Blayze remarked.

“I know you and your father are both reasonable,” Sabrina replied.

Lowering his head, Blayze changed the topic. “Why do you want to go abroad all of a sudden?”
