Chapter 1057

“Why?” Larry repeated it in a low voice. “Because you’re nothing but an illegitimate bastard. Yet, mygrandpa always favored you and even wanted to hand the company over to you. And you have thenerve to ask me why? I am the rightful successor of the Blakely family!”

“So, you’ve never considered me a brother, only as an adversary contending for the Blakely Group andsupposedly responsible for your parents’ demise!” Tyrone looked down at Larry.

Larry sneered and gave Tyrone a cold, hard look. “Isn’t that the truth?”

Larry always exuded a sense of gentleness and elegance, no matter where he was.

Tyrone never thought he’d witness such a cold, despiteful look on Larry’s face again.

The last time Tyrone saw that look in Larry’s eyes was back in primary school when Larry threwTyrone’s schoolbag into the river. As Tyrone tried to retrieve it with a stick, Larry pushed Tyrone into theriver and threatened him not to tell their grandfather after he climbed back out.

When Tyrone returned home, he concocted a story about accidentally falling into the river, whichexplained why his clothes were drenched.

However, their grandfather eventually learned the truth. Tyrone wasn’t privy to what their grandfathersaid to Larry, but Larry came to him with an apology.

Since that incident, the tension between them has eased, and they have grown closer, resemblingmore of a family.

At least, that was what Tyrone had believed about their relationship. Now, it appeared that it wasmerely a facade.

Larry had changed his approach. He concealed the resentment that was once on the surface, burying itdeep within his heart. He had successfully deceived both their grandfather and Tyrone.

“I see. Let me make one thing clear. I never considered competing with you for the CEO position at theBlakely Group. Grandpa made that decision.”

Larry regarded Tyrone with a sarcastic gaze. “I find it hard to believe you never knew I aspired to thatposition! Even if you were oblivious before, you’re well aware now. Yet, you still accepted the position!

“It was our grandpa’s final wish. I wanted to hand it over to you, but his wish meant everything to me.Besides, I had given you the chance.”

Tyrone had distanced himself from the Blakely Group for two and a half months, consistently decliningthe board’s offers.

He wouldn’t have returned if Larry had managed to stabilize the company during that period.

Larry seethed with anger.novelbin

“Just say it. You think I’m not as capable as you, don’t you?”

“I did mean that.”

Larry was speechless.

Fists clenched, Larry abruptly sat up, glaring at Tyrone, enraged.

After staring at Tyrone for a few seconds, Larry felt his strength drain away and lay back on the floor. He closed his eyes as if he had given up all hope of resisting.
