Chapter 1005

Galilea gathered her wits, her words finally forming. “Sorry. I’m a friend of Sabrina’s. She’s currentlyoccupied. Although I don‘t quite grasp the details, I will relay your message to her.”

Murray harbored no suspicions. “Thank you. Please do inform her.”

Upon concluding the call, Galilea promptly returned the phone to Sabrina’s handbag, ensuring itresumed its original position.

She cast her gaze upon the bustling crowd, her mind in a whirl.

In the subsequent scenes, Galilea’s attention wandered, causing her to falter and fail to complete herfilming.

The director’s expression soured, his dissatisfaction palpable as he addressed Galilea, “Your charactershould exude confidence. What’s going on here? You appear burdened with guilt! I am beginning toquestion whether you’ve committed some wrongdoing. Forget it. Let’s start filming fighting scene first. You can have a rest and pull yourself together.”

Then, the director summoned the crew to bring Sabrina to the set.

In his eyes, Galilea, a seasoned actress, paled in comparison to a newcomer standing in for her.

After Sabrina completed her part, Galilea resumed filming. While not entirely composed, she displayedmarked improvement compared to her earlier distractions.novelbin

Following the director’s command to halt the scene, Sabrina gracefully bestowed the down jacket uponGalilea.

A midday rendezvous for lunch with the crew unfolded, prompted by Galilea’s impending afternoonfilming.

As Sabrina approached with a tray of delectable sustenance for Galilea, her ears perked up to thedulcet tones of Galilea engaging in a phone conversation within the confines of the van. Apparently, thecall emanated from her studio, bearing the news that an assortment of scripts had been dispatched forher to peruse.

Sabrina possessed prior knowledge of two of these scripts, both boasting considerable potential in theensuing season. Coveted by actors far and wide, these narratives had garnered significant attention.

One of the scripts bore the indelible mark of a renowned director-scriptwriter duo, veterans of countlesscollaborations and recipients of numerous accolades. It was poised to be a monumental undertaking.

She checked the remaining scripts, discovering that they too derived their inspiration from belovednovels that had already garnered considerable acclaim.

Sabrina couldn’t help but be taken aback by this revelation.

During the intermissions of these past couple of days, Sabrina had gleaned tidbits from the crew’sconversations, affording her a modicum of insight into this industry’s dynamics. Those who had theprivilege of cherry-picking scripts typically fell into two categories: either they held sway over a devotedfan base or wielded financial clout to support the production.

Galilea, once the darling of a fervent following, had witnessed her fan base dwindle during her six-month hiatus and endured the taint of scandal of being a third party. Consequently, Galilea foundherself relegated to a supporting role in this upcoming series.

But how could she pick the script now? Was it because of Elton?

Elton had propelled the Clifford family to soaring heights with his swift progress and cemented hisposition within the realm of Mathias. However, once Tyrone severed ties with Galilea, Elton, too, had

severed his connection with Galilea. Elton wouldn’t offer assistance to Galilea any longer, right?

Conceivably, there might be other underlying factors at play.

Galilea, unruffled as though she had anticipated this, instructed to dispatch the script to her later in theevening. She would diligently sift through them to select the cream of the crop.
