Chapter 377 Investigate Someone On My Behalf

"Ha! I have faith in Blue Sky Corporation! I'm sure we will be able to replicate and improvise on the

developed vaccine as long as we are able to get our hands on the sample and the confidential

information. We can leverage our existing connections and launch our vaccine ahead of Cross Group.

Then we'll be able to gain the upper hand!" Terrence could barely contain his excitement as he went

on.

"Apart from dominating the market, we'll try to get rid of Cross Group as well and take over their

company through acquisition. With that, we'll own the rights to the vaccine," Zucker told Terrence hisnovelbin

plan.

Terrence could no longer contain his excitement as he cast an enthusiastic glance at Sharon and said,

"Ms. Hinton, you are significant to this magnificent plan of ours. We need you to get us the sample and

the confidential information on the vaccine from Cross Group."

Zucker persuaded Sharon with a grin, "Ms. Hinton, I'll transfer twenty million to your account to show

our sincerity. If you're able to get us what we want, we'll give you another billion. Apart from that, we'll

have you join Blue Sky Corporation as a member of the board of directors. You no longer have to be

concerned about money for the rest of your life."

Twenty million? If I'm able to get them what they want, I'll get an extra one billion and an opportunity to

be a member of the board of directors!

A glint of greed flashed across Sharon's eyes. She assured them excitedly, "Mr. Otinz, Mr. Johnson,

don't worry. Penny thinks of me as her best friend, so she has complete faith in me. Apart from that, I'm

currently one of the key personnel of Cross Group. Since I'm the director of the quality inspection

department, I'll be able to get my hands on the sample and the confidential information on the liver

cancer vaccine. Once I have acquired the required items, I'll hand them over as soon as possible."

On a sunny afternoon, Nathan made his way to Cross Group's headquarters to pick Penny up.

Over the past few days, Penny had been working overtime. She was the only one in the office because

other employees had long gotten off work.

To be exact, Penny had been doing so on a daily basis. Therefore, Nathan had to drop by every day

and urge her to return home with him.

By then, it was already six o'clock in the evening. An hour had passed since the designated time to get

off work.

Apart from the security guards who were on duty, most of the employees had returned home.

As Nathan and Penny made their way out of the office, they detected someone sneaking around in the

office all of a sudden.

They were shocked as they thought it must have been a thief, and Nathan yelled, "Who is it?"

The person who was sneaking around made her way out of the dark office. She had an embarrassed

look on her face, and her eyes glinted anxiously. However, she tried her best to put up a calm front.

"President Smith, Mr. Cross, it's me!"

The moment Penny realized it was none other than Sharon, she let her guard down completely and

replied with a smile, "Hey, Sharon! I thought a thief has broken into the company! Why are you still

around? It has been quite some time since the designated time to get off work, right? You should at

least switch on the light."

Sharon responded, "I was on my way home, but I noticed I left my keys behind in the office. That's why

I returned here to retrieve my keys."

Naturally, Penny fell for Sharon's words and suggested, "Nathan and I are about to head over to

I'Agneau restaurant for dinner. Why don't you join us?"

But Sharon shook her head and declined Penny's invitation, "Nah. I have to meet up with someone

else as well." "Too bad... If that's the case, let's dine together some other time!" Penny counteroffered.

Following that, they made their way into the elevator as they headed over to the parking lot.

As the elevator descended, Nathan noticed Sharon was drenched in sweat. She seemed to be

relatively anxious as she held on to her stuffed bag firmly.

Nathan narrowed his eyes and tried to beat around the bush, "Ms. Hinton, are you nervous? Why are

you sweating profusely?"

Taken aback by Nathan's words, Sharon tried to explain herself, "Really? I'm not nervous at all, though.

Haha!"

But Nathan was not convinced. He took a peek at the stuffed bag Sharon was holding once again and

teased, "Ms. Hinton, it seems like the bag you have is too small. Look, it's about to burst open. Don't

you think it's about time for you to get a new bag?”

Upon hearing that, Sharon became anxious, but she tried her best to appear calm. "Haha. You're right,

Mr. Cross. I think it's time for me to get a new bag since I have so much to deal with recently.

Occasionally, I have to bring the documents home with me to work overtime."

Penny fell for Sharon's words again. "Thank you so much, Sharon."

Ding!

Halfway through their conversation, the door of the elevator opened as they had reached the basement

parking lot.

Nathan smiled and reached for the key to their ride before handing it over to Penny. Content of

"Honey, can you drive us home today?"

In return, Penny nodded and made her way over to the BMW 7 series they had.

Colin replied, "Yes, sir!"
