Chapter 218 Why Should We Change Venues

Nathan frowned and Kylie was getting annoyed with Leah's attitude.

"What kind of attitude is this? Get your boss here," Kylie complained.

At this moment, a well-dressed man walked over with a few managers.

The minute the man saw Kylie, he exclaimed in surprise, "Kylie, it's you!”

As Kylie saw this man, she quickly complained to him in displeasure, "Kennedy Chamberlain, you

came at the right time. Look at your staff's attitude. Surely you can't keep her as a salesperson any

longer."

This man was none other than Kennedy Chamberlain, Kylie's friend and the son of the owner of

Perpetual Love.

Kennedy was a playboy and had always liked Kylie. Unfortunately, he always failed in courting her and

this remained his regret.

He did not expect to bump into her here today. It was both a surprise and a shock.

"What's going on?" he looked at Leah and asked with a gloomy expression.

Leah did not expect Kylie and her boss to know each other. She instantly turned as pale as a sheet.

Frantically, she explained herself, "Mr. Chamberlain, this couple is here to choose a necklace. Inovelbin

recommended the cheapest necklaces to them, but they don't like them. Now that I recommended the

best in the shop, they said that my attitude is bad just because they can't afford it.”

They are a couple!

Kennedy's smile froze immediately as he finally saw Nathan, who was standing beside Kylie.

While Kennedy was rather good-looking, he obviously lacked the steady and reserved aura like

Nathan.

His eyes were filled with envy, jealousy and anger as he looked at Nathan.

At the same time, he started to look at Kylie with disdain too.

He always felt that it was a pity that he never managed to sleep with Kylie.

It was ridiculous that Kylie came to flaunt her boyfriend at his shop.

Meanwhile, Kylie was oblivious to his complicated emotions. She brought Nathan here to play a prank

on him so she did not expect the salesperson to look down on her.

"Kennedy, just look at her attitude. How can she say that we can't afford it?" Kylie burst out in anger at

Kennedy.

However, Kennedy lost all his enthusiasm and told her nonchalantly, "I feel that it's just an objective

assessment when she said that. It's not about her attitude."

As he said that, Nathan's frowned deeply and Kylie stood stunned.

Even Leah herself widened her eyes in shock.

Kennedy looked at the duo and scoffed, "I'm just stating the truth. You guys really can't afford this

Evermore pink diamond necklace. I feel that Leah was telling the truth too. So, I don't see anything

wrong with that."

Kylie's face flushed red as she said, "Kennedy Chamberlain, you —"

On the other hand, Nathan remained unfazed and asked calmly, "How much is it?"

"Huh?" Kennedy blurted as he heard Nathan's words.

The latter continued casually, "This necklace looks okay to me. It can pass as my wife's birthday gift.

How much is it?"

This necklace looks okay?

It can pass as a birthday gift?

Everyone gasped as they heard his words.

They were more impressed with his shameless boasting more than anything else.

Kennedy was the first to recollect himself as he laughed, "Haha, you are speaking as if you can afford

it."

Kylie also felt that the situation was getting out of control.

She brought Nathan here so she could laugh at him later thinking that he cannot afford the expensive

jewelry.

However, not only was she looked down upon, Nathan and Kennedy were on the verge of a fight.

She felt that there was no way Nathan could afford a hundred million. Even her cousin sister may not

be able to pay for the necklace.

It would only make things look even more awkward if this continued.

Tugging at his sleeves, she suggested in a low voice, "Nathan, forget it. Let's not stoop to their level.

Let's find someplace else."

"Why should we go somewhere else? We can afford this. I think this necklace is nice, we can buy it for

Penny as a birthday present," Nathan told her calmly.

Kennedy and the rest looked at Nathan and mocked, "This necklace is worth a hundred million. I will

give you one chance to pay up now. If you can do that, I will sell this pink diamond necklace to you at a

ninety percent discount."
