Chapter 1732

In the departure hall of the Brimmopolis airport, Penny and Kylie stood from their seats and wereready to board the plane. Instinctively, Penny turned and looked at her surroundings one last time. Aglimmer of hope lingered in her mind. Maybe... Just maybe... He will come?

Then, catching her inane self, she let out a wry chuckle.

I'm such a fool. Nathan is probably on the military plane heading towards the North. How could heappear here?

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Stop dreaming about the impossible; he's not here.

Kylie noticed her unusual behavior and her darting looks. “Penny, are you hoping for Nathan

to be here?”

A slight flush crept onto her face as if she was a child caught red-handed for stealing a cookie fromthe jar. “W-What? Why would I be thinking about that? He's probably flying to the North right now.”

Kylie sighed. “That's true. But then again, Nathan should have made a trip to Channing before goingoff...”

“That's not rational at all. The situation in the

North is escalating quickly. Nathan is the General of the North and there are three hundredthousand troops awaiting his orders. He must be present to protect the border!”

Keeping her agitation in check, Penny softened her voice and continued, “Xyperia is becomingmore powerful and can invade the North at any moment. It's no surprise that Nathan has to rushback to handle the situation. Therefore, it's completely natural that he can't come today.”

Kylie grabbed the woman's hand and smiled sheepishly. “Fine, I got it. Pretend I didn't say anything!I'm sorry.” She blinked her puppy eyes for added effect.

Her endearing apology made Penny chuckle. “Getting away with everything with your irresistiblecharm, huh? You cute little girl...

Alright, let's go join the lineup.”

The duo boarded the plane from its rear door. Once on the plane, they made their way to the first-class cabin.

While passing through the economy class, Penny took notice of a group of rowdy passengers whoseemed to be traveling together. In particular, a man in a Hawaiian shirt grabbed her attention.

The said man was Willow Mitchell, also dubbed “The Undertaker”.

He took a glance at the passing ladies and proceeded to order the cabin crew around like he wasthe boss of the place. “D*mn it. Someone grab me a drink. I'm so pissed right now!”

Penny and Kylie shared a look of disdain at the man before continuing on their way to the front ofthe plane.

Internally, they heaved a sigh of relief, thanking themselves for having the foresight to book first-class seats.

When they finally reached the first-class cabin, the plane was preparing itself for takeoff, so theysettled down quickly as the flight attendant conveyed the standard safety instructions over thespeakers.

Just before takeoff, two men fumbled their way into their seats in the economy class. They wereNathan and Colin.

They dashed to the boarding gate and made it at the eleventh hour. Panting heavily upon sinkinginto their seats, they struggled to catch their breath while the plane ascended.

When the flight attendant announced that it was safe to remove the safety belts, Nathan stood upand surveyed the economy class cabin. To his dismay, Penny and Kylie were nowhere to be found.

“Mrs. Cross and Ms. Tonkins are likely in the first-class cabin. I can go and look for them,” offeredColin.

Nathan held him back. “We'll wait for the cabin crew to start making their rounds and then take thechance to blend in as a crew member. Let's

give them a pleasant surprise.”

Colin chuckled at the idea. “Okay!”

A grin similarly appeared on Nathan's face as he imagined the astonishment on Penny's face. She'dbe so happy...

Once the plane stabilized, Nathan could hear the clanking of plates and trolley wheels. It's time.

He stood up, tidied up his attire, and turned towards the first class cabin.

That was when he noticed the first sight of trouble. Like him, a group of men was also heading tothe front of the plane. Leading them was a man dressed in a flowery print shirt. None of themlooked friendly.

Nathan clenched his fists. He had an inkling that a full-fledged confrontation would soon follow.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org
