Meanwhile, Nathan brought Penny, Colin, Ava, and the others to visit Frida in the hospital.
A few of Frida's ribs were broken from the fight. She suffered from a serious internal injury. Luckily,her condition was stable and she was healing slowly.
When Frida saw her employers, she struggled to sit up.
Nathan immediately stopped her. “Lie down. Don't move.”
Penny came to Frida and sat on the edge of her bed. “That's right. The doctor said you were injuredbadly. You can't move around,” she cajoled softly.

Nathan flashed a smile. “That man has a nickname, Odin. He's a famous warrior. Of course, you'reno match for him.”
Penny consoled her. “I gave you a bonus this month. Rest well and recover soon.”
She continued, “Nathan told me you had many old wounds. After you recovered, you can resignand return to a normal life.”
Turns out Penny had transferred a bonus often million to Frida's account so the latter wouldn't haveto risk her life anymore.
Frida panicked instantly. “Mrs. Cross, are you chasing me away?”
Penny chuckled. “Of course not. You can decide whether you want to stay after you recoveredcompletely.”
Nodding, Frida inquired curiously, “I'm currently in the hospital. Who will take over my job for now?”
“Ava will be my personal bodyguard for now,” replied Penny.
Frida relaxed upon hearing her answer. Nathan had trained Ava himself. She also used to head theNational Guards alongside Colin, so she was definitely qualified for this job.
Penny was about to remind Frida to rest well when she suddenly blanched.
Covering her mouth, she dashed into the restroom.
Everyone was astounded by her sudden
departure.
Nathan ran after Penny and was greeted by the sight of the latter puking. He patted her backanxiously. “What's wrong?”novelbin
After a while, the nauseating feeling went away.
Smiling bitterly, Penny shook her head. “I don't know. I've been puking for the past few days.Besides, I lost my appetite at the sight of greasy food.”
As Nathan was inexperienced, he immediately thought she had food poisoning.
“Could it be food poisoning?” he inquired. “We're in the hospital, so let's ask a doctor to examineyou.
Soon, the most experienced female doctor in the hospital arrived under Nathan's instructions to
examine Penny.
She examined Penny carefully and even drew her blood to run a blood test. When the results cameout, she announced with a grin.
“Congratulations. Ms. Smith is pregnant. She's two months along.”
What? Pregnant?
Nathan was known for his composure and calmness. However, he was clearly excited after hearingthe doctor's announcement.
Back then, when he found out about his daughter, she was already four years old.
This was the first time in his life he felt the joy of becoming a father.
Penny was smiling shyly, too. Her period had been irregular lately, so she suspected she was
pregnant. It was good news, indeed.
Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight congratulated Nathan and Penny happily.
Pulling Penny into his arms, Nathan told her, “Honey, an angel has come to us. From now on, don'texert yourself at work. Take care of yourself.”
Nathan was the only son of his family. As they had a daughter, she knew Nathan wanted a son. Ifour baby is a son, it will be perfect!
Blushing, she nodded. “Mm. I will.”
Nathan immediately informed the good news to his in-laws, Kylie, and a few other family members.
When Benson, Leah and Kylie heard the great news, they were delighted.
It so happened that Penny's birthday was coming in two days.
Nathan decided to hold a grand birthday banquet to celebrate.
