Chapter 1394 Set Him Free

Nathan's lips curled upwards once he noticed the look Sky had on his face.

They had been sitting in the cars for quite some time as though they were heading to a certainsomewhere. Finally, their rides came to a halt.

As soon as their rides stopped, Sky shuddered, feeling a sense of despair deep down. He becameafraid of death at the thought that he was one step away from hell.

Sky opened his eyes slowly and asked, "Have we reached the place of execution? Is it time for meto be die?"

Nathan, who was by Sky's side, replied with a smile politely, "Mr. Reilly, why don't you turn aroundand have a look outside the window?"

Although Sky couldn't fathom what Nathan was up to, he turned around and looked outside asinstructed.

They were not on an isolated mountain, nor did they come to an execution ground.

Instead, they had parked in front of Sky's house.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm giving you a ride home! You may leave now." Nathan replied casually.

"What?" Sky was utterly shocked.

Therefore, Sky couldn't figure out the reason Nathan decided to let him off the hook and set himfree after what he had done.

Ihope you'll join me in defeating Lucifer. I need someone to testify against him for what he hasdone," Nathan reassured the confused man as he gave the suggestion.

All of a sudden, Sky fell silent. Although he was grateful Nathan had shown him mercy, he couldn'tpossibly turn his back against Lucifer, to whom he had sworn loyalty.

Since Sky couldn't make up his mind, Nathan beckoned and instructed, "You may leave now. I'll bestaying in Bossania for another few days. If you change your mind, feel free to reach out to me. I'llalways welcome you."

Sky spoke no more. He stepped out of the Jeep and returned home.

Colin and the Elite Eight didn't get in his way, either.

Before departing, Nathan wound down the window of the car and bade farewell to the man. "Thankyou, Mr. Reilly.”

Thank you? Why on earth is he thanking me?

Finally, Colin and the rest of his party drove off.

Two Mercedes-Benz showed up in front of Sky's house before he could get inside. A few men inblack rushed out of the car. The person leading the men in black had an extremely domineeringdemeanor due to the black birthmark covering half of his face.

He was none other than Winston, the captain to the King of the North's personal bodyguards.

"Winston? Why are you here?” Sky was shocked.

"Why has Nathan sent you home when you have attempted to assassinate him? Didn't you getcaught red-handed by his subordinates?" Winston asked with a poker face.

Sky was rendered speechless by Winston's question all of a sudden because he couldn't justify thereasons behind his release.

He was certain Winston wouldn't believe it if he were to tell him Nathan had decided to be mercifulfor once and let him off the hook.

Once he made up his mind and was about to explain himself, Winston got ahead of him and askedcallously once more, "Apart from bringing you home, he expressed his gratitude before leaving.Why did he do that?"

Sky had an odd expression on his face— he finally figured out why Nathan had set him free.

"Listen to me, Winston! It's nothing close to what you have in mind!" Winston tried to explain himselfimmediately.

It seemed like it was too late for Sky to explain himself. Winston replied indifferently, "Don't botherexplaining yourself to me. You should explain yourself to Mr. Leeroy instead.”

The moment Sky heard Winston's reply, his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach.

In the meantime, Nathan and the rest of his party were on their way to the hotel Penny had checkedinto.

Throughout the way, Colin asked as he couldn't hold back his curiosity anymore, "Sir, why did youlet Sky go when he has offended you?"

Nathan replied confidently with a smile, "It's over for him. I'm sure he will reach out to us soon. He'lldefinitely become our witness and testify against Lucifer. We shall acquire the evidence of Lucifer'sevil deeds through him."

Colin was shocked and surprised at the same time once he figured out the scheme Nathan had inmind.
