Chapter 896

It was noon, and classes had yet to begin.

Most students gathered in groups to chit-chat, gossiping about the dating lives of other students and

teachers.

“Yvette, get over here right now!” A voice sounded.

Following the shouts, a young man stomped over furiously with a dozen classmates.

Meanwhile, a young girl with long black hair dressed in a white dress was listening to music through

her headphones. She was seated in the last row of the classroom.

Her head bopped along with the music. Suddenly, she sensed something wrong and raised her head.

Seeing the dozen or so students approaching, her expression slightly darkened. She took off her

headphones, opened the window, and jumped outside. After landing, she quickly took off.

The male student in the lead ordered furiously, “Follow me! I have to kill that f*cking b*tch!”

The group of students quickly rushed after her.

Yvette dashed down the stairs. In a panic, she bumped into a few people and got an earful from them.

At the same time, James arrived at Sunleigh High School.

He looked at the innocent-looking students walking in and out of the school and felt slightly sentimental.

He remembered being a student like them, unrestrained and free.

Back when James was a student, he was the most popular guy in school.

Quincy, on the other hand, was the school belle.

The two were the epitome of talent and beauty. Naturally, they started dating.

James was absorbed in his thoughts when a girl chased by dozens of cursing students suddenly came

running in his direction.

“Yvette Zook! You better stop running!”

“Hmm?” James frowned when he heard the name.

‘Yvette Zook?

’Isn’t that Liam’s younger sister?’

He turned to look at the girl, who had already run far away. James said to Maxine, “Let’s go and have a

look.”

“Alright.” Maxine nodded.

James looked at Hardy and said, “General Lane, you should head back first. You’re going to cause a

huge commotion if you’re spotted in the school compound in military uniform.”

“But, Dragon King…”

“Go back. This is an order,” James said.

“Understood!”

Hardy straightened up, saluted, and turned to leave.

“Let’s go.” James hurriedly chased after Yvette.

Yvette ran for a few blocks until she reached a dead end.

She stopped at an alley and bent over with her hands on her knees, gasping for breath.

“Yvette! Where else can you run now?”

Hearing the voice, she immediately recollected herself and shouted, “Damn, you sure are persistent.”

Yvette wanted to continue running but was blocked by a few students.

She turned around and saw another male student approaching.

The young man was about seventeen to eighteen years old and was well-dressed. He looked like a

spoiled kid from a wealthy family.novelbin

“Hugo! Mr. Hugo, no, Mr. Doyle! I’m sorry! Please spare me this time. I won’t get involved in your

business again. Plus, I know a much prettier girl. How about I introduce you to her instead?”

Last night, Yvette ruined Hugo’s fun.

He invited a few girls out for drinks and deliberately got one of them drunk, planning to bring her to a

hotel. However, Yvette called the police on him.

The police arrived right on time and arrested Hugo.

The Doyles were an influential family in Sunleigh City. Thus, it was easy for him to find out that she was

the one who called the police.

Now that Hugo was seeking revenge, she quickly apologized with a smile, “She’s much more beautiful

than the one yesterday. If she isn’t enough for you, how about I accompany you for a few days?”

Yvette straightened her posture.

“I’m not that bad either. I’ve got a decent face and a good figure.”

Although she was acting as if she was giving in, her eyes were scanning her surroundings for an

opportunity to escape.
