Chapter 2319

As a Sect Elder’s disciple at the Welkin Academy, James was assigned a room of his own. Just ashe was resting in the courtyard while discussing things with Henry and Delainey, the Divinity Sect’sdisciples appeared.

“James Caden, the Patriarch wishes to see you. Follow me to the main hall of the Divinity Sect’smain peak.”

Puzzled, James stood up and asked, “What for?”

The Divinity Sect’s disciple said, “I don’t know either. There are many people gathered there at themoment.”

James turned to look at Henry and Delainey, saying, “Wait here, I’ll be back soon.” Then, he lookedat the disciple and said, “Let’s go.”

“Please, follow me.”

With the disciple’s guidance, James headed to the main hall of the Divinity Sect’s main peak.

“Please enter,” the disciple said.

“Mhm.” James nodded and entered the hall.

About a hundred people were gathered in the hall. There, James spotted a few familiar faces─theWelkin Academy’s headmaster, his master, and of course, the Divinity Sect’s Patriarch. However, hecould not recognize the rest.

As James walked in, everyone’s gaze was fixed on him. Who would have thought that such a youngman would be a Fang of the Demon Race?

Sensing the hostile gazes, James had a bad feeling deep inside. However, he remainedexpressionless as he clasped his fists and said, “I heard you were looking for me, Holy Emperor.”

The Divine Holy Emperor who was sitting on the main seat stood up and questioned him, “James, answer us truthfully. Are you a member of the Demon Race?”

Hearing this, James’ heartbeat accelerated.

Before he could reply, Yoan stepped forward and said, “Don’t be afraid, James. Just tell us the truth. An innocent man like you has nothing to be afraid of.”

James forcibly calmed himself down and looked at the Divine Holy Emperor, asking, “What do youmean, Holy Emperor? I’m a disciple of the Welkin Academy, and my master is Sect Elder YoanXenocrates. How could I possibly be a member of the Demon Race? How am I related to them inany way?”

The Divine Holy Emperor said coldly, “The fact that Mount Walvern is the location of the GrandTournament is a secret that no outsiders would know. However, the Demon Race appeared thereand slaughtered many innocent lives. Based on my investigation, you are a member of the DemonRace. You were the one who informed them of the location. You were the one who causedcountless deaths.”

“Hahaha!” James roared in laughter. “Preposterous! How am I even capable of colluding with theDemon Race? The Demon Race is full of powerful figures, whereas I have only reached theImmortal Ascension rank. Even if I wish to collude with them, do you think they would take meseriously?”novelbin

Then, he pointed at the Divine Holy Emperor and said, “You, on the other hand, are even moredeserving of suspicion than me. You were the one who determined the Grand Tournament’slocation. Did you not realize that there was a Demon Race camp at Mount Walvern? Or could it be

that you sent us there to our deaths? You accuse me of being a member of a Demon Race, butwhere’s the evidence to support your claims? In fact, I think it’s more likely that you were the onewho colluded with them!”

James’ voice reverberated throughout the hall.

“Preposterous!” The Divine Holy Emperor’s face darkened as he raised his arm. Powerful energygathered in his palm, which sent James flying and collapsed to the ground.

James vomited a mouthful of blood.

The Divine Holy Emperor was strong. However, he did not kill James. He only wished to teach hima lesson.

Seeing that his disciple was attacked, Yoan stepped forward and reprimanded him, “What’s themeaning of this? How could you resort to violence? Was what he said not valid? You were the onewho determined the Grand Tournament’s location. Shouldn’t you have found out about the DemonRace’s camp at Mount Walvern?”

Standing at the top of the main hall, the Divine Holy Emperor said coldly, “I’m merely teaching him alesson for disrespecting his elders. He’s not worthy of questioning me. As for the evidence hedemanded, I wouldn’t have come to this conclusion if I don’t have any to support my claims.”
