Chapter 2280

Quintina had a rough understanding of James’ strength.

Although he had cultivated in the Pagoda of Flames for half a year, he was still not a match forHayden.

Hayden was Elder Waheed’s disciple and also the United Alliance’s deputy leader. His cultivationrank had already reached the Immortal Ascension’s Eighth Stair.

She was worried James would lose and have to kneel for three days. Thus, she suggested, “James, just admit it’s your fault and let this go. Don’t make a big deal out of it.”

Quintina came over because she heard James was causing trouble in the United Alliance’s base. She was worried James would be bullied, so she came to have a look.

Standing aside, Melany tugged his hand and whispered, “J-James, forget it. I didn’t lose muchanyway. I only sustained minor injuries and will be fine after cultivating for some time.”

After speaking, she looked at Hayden. Then, she glanced at Yitzchok, who was being helped up bysome other people.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Hayden. W-We’ll leave right away.”

Melany apologized.novelbin

“Hayden, break his legs and hands!” Yitzchok growled with a pained expression.

He was furious. He had been in the Welkin Academy for many years and had never been sohumiliated before.

His anger would not dissipate if James’ limbs were not broken.

“Alright. I accept your challenge.”

Everyone thought James would apologize and choose to let the matter go.

Those with discerning eyes could see that the peerless powerhouse, Quintina, was helping James. With her backing him up, the matter could be easily resolved as long as James apologized.

Unexpectedly, James accepted Hayden’s challenge.

“Does he have a death wish?”

“Hayden is the United Alliance’s deputy leader. He’s at the Immortal Ascension’s Eighth Stair. Hisstrength is one of the most outstanding among the younger generation. Meanwhile, James had onlyjust joined Welkin Academy about six months ago.

“Could he really be conceited enough to think he could take three moves from Hayden?”

No one believed that James could withstand three moves from Hayden.

Even Quintina was doubtful of his capabilities. She understood James’ strength and knew he hadsurrendered during his match against Harold of the Divinity Sect. Meanwhile, Hayden was muchstronger than Harold.

She frowned and said, “What’re you doing, James? Do you really want to kneel here for threedays?”

James smiled lightly and said, “What’s wrong? Do you have that little trust in me? If I can’t evenwithstand three moves from him, how will I win first place in the Grand Tournament?”

“You’re too arrogant.”

James was acting incredibly arrogant.

Quintina could not stand him anymore.

“Forget it. I’m not going to help you anymore. Do whatever you want.”

Quintina turned away furiously. However, she did not leave the area.

After calming down, she remembered that James was very calm. He was not someone who wouldforce himself through things. Otherwise, he would not have surrendered his match against Harold inthe Ancient Clan.

“Good.”

Hayden looked at James and shouted, “James, I will keep my word. I'll let this matter go if you cantake three moves from me. However, I’m not going to show any mercy. If you can’t withstand myattacks and die, then it’s not my fault.”

James said calmly, “You’re going to let this matter go? If I withstand three moves from you, Yitzchokwill have to return the elixirs he took from Melany and kneel to apologize.”

“Alright,” Hayden replied loudly, immediately agreeing to James’ condition.

From his perspective, James would never be able to withstand his attacks. His only reason was thatJames had only joined the Welkin Academy six months ago.

Many of the Welkin Academy’s disciples had come to the United Alliance’s base. About tens ofthousands of people gathered around. Even some of the academy’s elders were alerted andsecretly kept an eye on the situation.
