Chapter 2155

The person of the highest seniority in the Targwyn family was Sylvester.

He was the only person who could possibly answer whether the jade pendant had something to dowith the seal.

Sylvester shook his head and said, “I’m not sure either. Our history has been fragmented. I onlyknow that our family’s jade pendant is one-of-a-kind and that a huge secret must be hidden withinit.”

Even Sylvester did not know about the jade pendant’s secret.

“Alright.”

Laelia was disappointed but did not press him for further answers. She changed the subject, saying,“Sir Sylvester, let’s bring James to the grotto first.”

“Yuliana, bring them there,”novelbin

Sylvester instructed the girl beside him.

She was relatively young, about 17 to 18 years old. She was dressed very simply and wore a bluedress. Although she seemed like a peasant, she was lovely.

“Yes, Grandpa.”

Yuliana looked at Laelia and James, saying, “This way, please.”

She led both of them toward the back of the village.

Behind the village stood a mountain range.

The ground was full of entangled roots on the mountain paths, and the trees blocked out the sun.

The ground was also littered with piles of fallen leaves.

Rustling sounds rang through the air as they stepped through the fallen leaves. White mist seepedout from the leaves.

They walked through the mountain roads for about ten minutes. Finally, a cliff appeared in James’line of sight. At the bottom of the cliff, there was a natural cave. It was relatively small and about fivemeters high and three meters wide.

Soon, they reached the cave entrance.

Laelia explained, “This is the grotto, James.”

James looked at the grotto’s entrance.

It was pitch black inside, and he could not see anything. Even though he was a cultivator withexcellent eyesight, he could not see what was within the grotto.

Standing aside, Yuliana explained, “We’ve arrived at the grotto. Laelia, and James, you two can goin. I won’t go with you guys, but remember to be careful while inside. The grotto is very deep, andthe paths are winding. Thus, it’s easy to get lost inside there.”

James replied, “Thanks for the reminder.”

He was intrigued by the grotto in Targwyns’ ancestral land and its hidden secret.

Without hesitation, he stepped into the grotto.

Laelia followed behind him.

After entering the grotto, it was relatively empty and only surrounded by some bizarre stalactites. The ground was full of potholes and moisture.

When they stepped into the grotto, a chilly breeze swept toward them.

Despite being a powerful martial artist, he still felt a chill, as if he was inside a frigid abyss.

“It’s chilly in here.”

James could not help but shudder.

Laelia immediately explained, “It’s because there’s a frigid abyss within the grotto, which is full ofcold energy.”

“I see. No wonder.”

James nodded lightly and did not think too much about it.

Looking at the winding paths, he asked, “Which way should we go?”

Laelia shook her head slightly and said, “I don’t know. This grotto is very magical, and the pathsconstantly change. What you see now will change by the time we pass through to leave the grotto.”

Shocked, James asked, “Is it that miraculous?”

Laelia nodded and said, “Yeah, it’s very magical. Because of this, our family members will comeupon becoming adults to look for the great treasure. Although it’s miraculous, no one has ever foundthe inheritance even after such a long time. After some time, none bothered coming back despite itsbeing so magical.”

The extraordinary grotto tempted James’ curiosity.

He had the Celestial Abode, and two powerful people existed within it—Nova and Sophie.
