Chapter 2153

James would be the first outsider to visit the Targywn’s ancestral land since times of yore.

The Targwyn family only moved out of the ancestral land a thousand years ago. Before then, theyhad lived in ancestral land and were isolated from the outside world.

The beast carriage came close to the storm. Even though they were still quite far away, the storm’sforce caused James’ heart to race.

Laelia stepped out of the beast carriage and looked at the cyclone over the sea. She bit her finger, and a drop of blood trickled out.

She moved the drop of blood toward the storm before them.

At that moment, a strange phenomenon happened.

The blood was absorbed into the storm and suddenly the turbulent gales ceased, giving way to asafe passage.

“Keep going,”

Laelia ordered the beast carriage to pass through the storm.

After passing through the storm, they entered another marine region surrounded by white mist. Itwas difficult to see anything beyond the few meters ahead of him.

Laelia asked, “Are you seeing the thick mist, James?”

James nodded and said, “Mhm. There’s a thick, white mist, and it’s hard to see clearly.”

Laelia explained, “This is the second checkpoint to enter the ancestral land of our family. The whitemist will cause one to lose all sense of direction. If one isn’t from the Targwyn family, they will get

trapped in the mist, even if they somehow got through the storm outside.

“However, the white mist is simply part of the atmosphere for members of my family.”

With a bright smile, Laelia directed the beast carriage through the white mist. After about tenminutes, they emerged on the other side of the mist.

Beyond the ocean ahead, an island appeared.

A mysterious circle of light surrounded the island. A number of symbols could be seen floatinginside the light, making the island seem incredibly mysterious.

Standing in the beast carriage, Laelia looked at the island before them and explained, “That’s ourfamily’s ancestral land. Thousands of years ago, our family lived on this island. There’s a formationguarding the island. According to our family’s legend, our ancestor left the island because he drewthe ire of a formidable enemy. Thus, they left this place to protect future generations.”

The beast carriage kept moving forward.

Soon, it appeared near the island and was blocked by the mysterious light circle.

Laelia raised her hand and gently tapped on the mysterious light circle.

She was a member of the Targwyn family, so she could easily break through the mysteriousformation. A hole formed in the formation, and the beast carriage easily passed through.

The beast carriage stopped in the open field.

Laelia and James got out of the carriage.

“This is my family’s ancestral land. The island has remained deserted after the family left. Only anelder stayed behind to guard it. He was unwilling to leave and remained there to protect the island.”

James scanned the surrounding.novelbin

The island looked relatively normal, and nothing looked out of the ordinary.

“Let’s go, James.”

Laelia reached out to hold James’ hand and pulled him forward.

Soon, they headed deep into the island.

Eventually they reached a small village.

There was a massive willow tree with a small bird resting on it at the village gate. The bird had astriking red plumage. Seeing visitors approach, it cawed.

“This is our family’s ancestral village.”
