After entering the city, the two found an inn to stay in for the time being.
James was seated on a chair inside the room. Meanwhile, Laelia poured some tea for him.

James stood up and walked out of the door.
He made his way to the inn’s first floor and ordered a number of small dishes. Then, he ate themleisurely.
Laelia sat beside him but had no desire to eat.
Many people were also eating around the inn’s lobby.
“I heard the Tabal Empire’s capital, Tabalham, was destroyed, and millions of people wereslaughtered.”
“Mhm. I also heard about the incident. It seems the Dark Keep was responsible for it.”
“The Dark Keep must want one of Tabal Empire’s treasures which led them to wipe out Tabalham.”

Hearing their chatter, Laelia’s expression grew more despondent.
James stood up and patted her on the shoulder, trying to soothe her. “Don’t worry. Everything will bealright. We’ll head to the City Lord’s Mansion immediately to meet with Cloyd and ask him about theDark Keep.”
“Mhm.” Laelia nodded.
The two left the inn and headed directly to the City Lord’s Mansion.
There were many guards stationed at the gate of the mansion when they arrived.
The two found their paths barred immediately upon arrival.
“State your names.” the guard said sternly.
Laelia quickly answered, “I-I’m the princess of the Tabal Empire’s Targwyn family. The Targwyn’spredecessors have previously met with Lord Cloyd a few times. I’m here to request an audiencewith him.”
The guards could not help but give Laelia another once over after hearing she was from the TabalEmpire’s Targwyn family.
Then, one of the guards replied, “Please wait here. I’ll go report your visit.”
Meanwhile, a young man sat at the head of the table in the main hall of the City Lord’s Mansion. Hewas dressed in a blue robe and held onto a paper fan, constantly flapping it.
“A few days ago, the Deputy Master of the Dark Keep, Saturio, was killed.”
An old man sat opposite the blue-robed man.
The old man looked between 70 and 80 years old and wore a black robe. His expression was grimas he slammed his hands on the table, causing wine to spill everywhere.
“Oh?”
The man in blue glanced at the old man.
“If I’m not mistaken, Saturio had already reached Immortal Ascension. He was one of the strongestin the Land of Tabal. Who’s strong enough to defeat him?”
Shaking his head, the old man said, “I’m not sure yet. I only know that Saturio headed out to pursueand kill Laelia. She’s the one who has the family treasure.”
The man dressed in a blue robe was Liberty City’s lord.
The elderly man was the Dark Keep’s Master.
