After a while, she finally arrived where James was.
She saw James lying on the ground. His aura was very weak.
As she was reminded of how James killed Saturio earlier, she was a little frightened and did notdare to move close to him. Instead, she stood several meters away from him, keeping a wary eyeon James. She asked cautiously, “S-Sir, are you alright?”
James was lying on the ground and recovering. He said softly, “It’s nothing serious. I’ll be fine afterresting for a while.”
After hearing that, Laelia let out a sigh of relief.
She did not dare to approach him and instead stood several meters away, staring at him.
Under her watchful gaze, James’ complexion gradually grew rosy. In just half an hour, James hadrecovered. He got to his feet and started to move his body.

Laelia was taken aback once again. She could clearly sense how weak James’ aura was. He wason the verge of death. However, after only half an hour, he was full of vim and vigor.
With a smile on his face, James said, “The enemy has been dealt with. Let’s hurry to the TabalEmpire’s capital.”

They both started to walk, leaving this shattered mountain.
“Sir, this is too slow. Let’s speed up.”
James was moving at a slow, leisurely pace.
Laelia was very anxious, and James was frustrated as well. He had heard Laelia was about to handover the Burial Jade.
‘Why isn’t she taking out the Burial Jade now?
‘Will I have to resort to force?’
Many ideas started to surface in James’ mind. He then threw all of these messy thoughts away,pulled Laelia, and appeared in mid-air in a flash. He said, “I can travel fast. You’ll give me thedirections. I’ll get you there.”
“Here.” Laelia reached out her hand and pointed forward.
“Alright.” James nodded, drew her along, and accelerated forward with all his might. With a singlestride, they appeared at a distance of a thousand meters. After just a few strides, they disappearedfrom this mountain range.
He was moving forward at a rapid pace.
Previously, Laelia had been on the run for three days before arriving at this location. However,James traveled as fast as he could, and after only half a day, he arrived at Tabalham.
Tabalham was the capital of the Tabal Empire. It was an ancient city that had been around for athousand years. The city gate was made of black rocks and stood a thousand meters tall. From adistance, it looked majestic.
Both of them appeared outside of the city gate.
The city gate was closed, and there was no one outside it.
Laelia started to have a bad feeling.
In the past, Tabalham was quite lively. Outside of the city, there was a constant traffic of bothvehicles and people. However, the city gate was tightly shut and there was no one there.
She could not help but pull at James. “S-Sir. Something might have happened.”
James waved his hand faintly and said, “Let’s first go into the city and take a look.”novelbin
He pulled Laelia along with him, took a stride, and appeared on the city wall that was a thousandmeters tall.
When they stood on the city wall and looked out over the city, they could see mountains of deadbodies and rivers of blood.

Even James furrowed his brow.

Laelia started sobbing and darted into the city.
James followed behind.
The large city was deafeningly quiet and reeked of blood. On the ground, corpses were strewnabout.
Blood had stained the ground red. It was extremely desolate and depressing.
