Chapter 2101

Magnus’ words sent a chill down James’ spine. The moment he mentioned the Son of Heavenbeing his junior, James immediately had a bad feeling about this. The man before him was here forvengeance.

He looked at Magnus and remained silent.

Wearing a composed look on his face, Magnus uttered word by word, “The Son of Heaven lost toyou because he was weak. Let’s have a battle where you two fought.”

After he spoke, he took his gauntlets out from his sleeves and threw them at James.

“I’ll give you a month to prepare. We will fight to the death on Mount Bane in a week.”

Magnus’ voice grew increasingly distant as he slowly disappeared into thin air.

James looked at the gauntlet in his hand that weighed heavily on him.

“Darling,” Thea’s voice came.

James collected himself and said grimly, “This is the Son of Heaven’s senior and the strongestdisciple of the Overworld. The Son of Heaven is incredibly strong, and I went to great lengths toannihilate him. Now, however, I have no idea about my opponent’s strength.”

James was unafraid of battle. However, he did not know how strong his opponent was.

“I’m here.”

Thea said, “Why don’t I go in your stead?”

James shook his head slightly and said, “There’s no need for that considering that we have a weekleft until the day of the battle. I have to head to the Time Chamber and cultivate for a while to try and

cross into the Herculean rank.”

James was confident in his own strength. Even though he was only at the peak of the SupernaturalEighth Inner Gate, he was able to defeat the Son of Heaven who was at the Herculean SecondLayer. Should he cross into the Herculean stage, he would be able to stand against those at theHerculean’s Fourth Layer.

“Mhm,” Thea said.

James did not linger for long. He immediately left Wyrmstead and headed in the direction of MountBane. He planned to find a secluded spot on Mount Bane and enter the Celestial Abode to enter aclosed-door meditation.

Thea planned to go alongside him. If James could not defeat Magnus, she would battle Magnusalongside him.

However, James turned down her offer. The Calamity had arrived, and Wyrmstead needed apowerful leader in control of the situation.

Since Thea knew that James only had his people’s safety in mind, she did not force the issue andchose to remain in Wyrmstead. She planned to head to Mount Bane to observe the situation on theday of the battle.

Soon, James arrived at Mount Bane.

Hazted City, which was originally named after Tristen Hazted, had its name changed to Bane Cityafter Tristen was annihilated by Thea. It was now a gathering place for the Outsiders.

Ever since Tristen was annihilated, they had begun keeping a low profile. Fearful of incurring Thea’swrath, they remained inside the compounds of Mount Bane most of the time.novelbin

However, as the black rain poured from the sky and many more Outsiders emerged from thefissure, they had become more active once more.

Meanwhile, in the city…

“I just received news that the Son of Heaven’s senior disciple has appeared. He’s called MagnusQuinnton. I heard that he went to Wyrmstead and challenged James to a duel on Mount Bane in aweek."

"Is that so?"

"As I came from the Overworld, I have heard of this Magnus guy before. He’s one of the mostdistinguished disciples of the greatest cultivator in the Overworld. In fact, he’s number two on theDragon Ranking although he’s much younger than the number one guy.”

“In that case, how strong is this Magnus guy.”
